I was started on clomid 50mg due to having irregular periods causing difficulty concieving. I had been using ovulation tests prior to starting clomid and usually i was ovulating.. but not always. Also the length of my cycle would be 38days one month then 27 the next. So I took one round of clomid, I ovulated one week after the last dose of clomid and got pregnant that month! The only side effect I...

My husband and I have been blessed with two beautiful girls that are 15 months apart. We did not plan them to be so close. Now, I wouldn’t have it any other way. They are currently 4&5… So, the present story is that we have tried to conceive for over a year now. Sadly we had a Chemical pregnancy Sept 2011. Then, 6 months later I was hospitalized for Pneumonia. I took Chlomid in Feb before I became ill and thankfully that time it didn't work. I only say that because of the physical hell that sickness put my body through. I am grateful a newly developing baby didn't have to endure it. My cycles are pretty regular, around 27 days. I am feeling healthy and back to my regular self. So I took my 2nd dose of Chlomid this last cycle in May. Now I’m happy to say that I am pregnant. I wonder if I could be pregnant with multiples. I took my 1st pregnancy test at my doctors’ office 5 days before my expected period and they said it was extremely dark. They asked me twice if I am sure I had a cycle in May. "I did and that is when I took the Chlomid." I said. Now, I have been asked to go in again in a few more days for another blood draw to see how my Count is progressing. Maybe they will be able to see at that point and let me know what I can expect. Twins do not run in my family history. So, I will be extra excited to see how the next few weeks play out. I will post again soon. Till then, best wishes on your journey to achieving "Baby" XxXxXRead More Read Less

I started clomid in April of 2010 to assist my husband and me conceive. I did conceive at the end of May 2010 and we had a healthy baby boy in March of 2011. I experienced no major side effects and I am looking going back on clomid to conceive again! Wish me luck!

We were trying for 8 months without success when our doctor referred clomid. I took it for 3 continous month with dosage increase each month without success. I had not loosen heart as had heard from many online commnets of success stories the very next month after the medicine was stopped. Same happened with me..We are blessed with a cutie baby girl and she is 10 months old now. So we are not sure if clomid worked or not but then do no loose heart. God is great and will hear your prayers but I will definitely advice to take this medicine. Always be happy and be with a pleasant smile. Think only about positives and have your husband with your side......Read More Read Less

I used this medication in 1978 and 1988. It did give me hot flashes and bad headaches. I felt like I had the flu most of the time. Also very irritable. But it did work both times. In fact also had a baby in the middle of those years without clomid. My big question is what kind of side effects if any have grown children (adults) had? I have not been able to find any answers or comments.

I have in the past taken clomid b/c im infertile n i have always been n idk y but, i heard about this drug from a friend/relative n i ask whats it for and she said to help me become more fertile. so i tried for 6 mths or more to get pregnant n nothing so i went to see my ob/gyn n mentioned about clomid i was given a prescrition n b4 i left my dr's office i was asked if my pregnany is planned n if this is what i wanted n to warn me tht i can end up with twins. however, with tht being said i jst took mine every other mth so i wldnt end up with twins. Now, 10 almost 11 yrs later here i am trying again. im older now n im a lil worried but, im positive it'll work n i pray to god tht i really dnt hav twins cos i dnt want them. all i want is ONE more then im done. P.s to all of those who hav never tried clomid i got pregnant with 3 mths after using it. so if a baby is what u really want be ready. n for those who dnt hav any kids n want twins take the clomid every month. I'm on my 5th or 6th cycle of clomid & am taking 200mg day 3-7. Hopefully it works this cycle, if it does I will continue this dose for 3 months, if not I will be referred to an infertility specialist because I have only ovulated twice since taking the clomid.

Hi am back, if you read my previous reviews you would know I conceived but I MC 5 days later after finding out, the hospital stated it was a biochemical pregnancy, I was devasted!!! Well if that was the case then I would have had a 33 day cycle so I started my clomid straight away, which the OBG stated that was ok, she has given me another 3months cycle. I am on the 3rd cycle now and using preseed again. Baby dust to you all.

I can't rate the medication yet as I haven't started it. I did blood work on day 21 to check for progesterone levels and got the results back today (3.9) so my doctor suggested I take Clomid days 5-9. I am on day 1, so I will start to use soon. We have been trying for 6mths and I am almost 35. Please pray for us. We want a baby more than anything. I will report back in a month. L-

I took Clomid after trying to get pregnant for over a year. I went for almost 6 months without having a period at all. On the third round, and increased dosage I finally ovulated. Three times. I ended up pregnant with triplets. Because of the complications of multiples, I ended up delivering the babies way too early and all three died. Now I am wanting to try again and the doctors are telling me that I will have to go on Clomid again to get pregnant. I am so scared and can't go through that heartbreak again. Read More Read Less

Hi I started my second lot of clomid days 2-6 again my first was the 2nd day which was the 31st dec 2011 through to the 4 th January 2012. I heard so much about preseed and got some from amazon with the tubes. Am on here to say that my last cycle was 28days I am a day late so did a pregnancy test today and got a faint positive line. As you see from my last post some of the side affects, I researched so much on clomid etc that I took the tablets at night around the same time on this lot. The only side affect I got this time was hot flushes, so I think I sleept through the rest. Clomid does dry the cm so preseed was great help and I think that heled me to conceive with the clomid 2nd round. I recommend preseed with people taking clomid. Baby dust to you all, I will keep you updated. XxRead More Read Less

I took this medication for three months and was told by my Dr that I had very good chances of becoming pregnant. She was even worried I would have multiple eggs fertilized because I was reacting to the medicine so well. And now $2100 later, three months of hormones, no pregnancy. Very discouraging and I hope everyone has better luck with it than me.

Hi, I am going to start taking clomid when I have my next period. Does anyone know how bad the excessive hair growth can be ? I already have some and don't need anymore !! LOL My husband and I have been trying to concieve for over 3 years now. We have both checked out as ok on all tests so far. However I am scheduled to have the HSG test when I start my next period. Good Luck to everyone and I will keep you posted on my progress.
