No problems experienced and infection cleared. I think all the people who have had complications associated with this drug need to remember that it is a drug, and all drugs have possible side effects, that is why there are warnings documented. The percentage of individuals worldwide who have complications linked with this drug is very small. Anytime you take any kind of pharmaceutical there is a r...

I had some pain when I urinated and in my kidneys. After submitting a sample of my urine. He said I have a kidney infection, so he prescribed me Cipro. I did see the warning from my pharmacy, but I was too stupid to do a thorough research before I took it. Once I took it beside one time diarrhea, but 10 days after I finished the 7-day course, I started having pain and weakness in my arms. My knees...

DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG - there is a huge class action lawsuit for horrible side affects. I took it and it attacked my tendons in my legs - it was almost 3 1/2 years before I could resume 'most' of my physical activity. DON NOT TAKE THIS DRUG!!

I was prescribed this medication for a UTI twice a day for a week. When I picked the medication up the pharmacist informed me to drink plenty of water and reframe from physical activity of any kind for a month, because you could damage your tendons due to the medication. WTF really? Immediately to me that was a warning. I started taking the medication, after two days the pain was unbearable, it felt like every joint in my body hurt, it got to the point it hurt just to talk, I knew something wasn't right I stopped taking it immediately Cipro is poison. Please do not take it, there are so many other antibiotics that are safer. Joint damage in return for curing an UTI, I don't think so. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE CIPRORead More Read Less

Before starting Cipro, ask your doctor about tendon problems. Or first check the literature yourself.

I was given this for Urinary Track Infection after surgery and showing signs of ventricular tachycardia. It caused relentless ongoing watery diarrhea that eventually caused another Urinary Track Infection and left me totally depleted. I would never suggest this for any human being.

Was given this drug when I later found out I never had a uti to begin with. Symptoms started hours after the first dose. Dizzy, arms tingling, heart racing, etc. 6 months later and I'm still having constant dizziness, lock jaw, ringing in ears, can't stand for long periods, panic attacks, etc. This drug is poison! My whole life changed 6 months ago.

Side-effects: constant: nausea, dizziness; occasional chills; daily diarrhea. Original Rx, along with metronidazole, was for 14 days, because of the side-effects I was told I could stop after 7 days.

Horrible and scariest experience of my life. I had bad side effects within 1-2 days of taking this medication 250 mg. Headache, shoulder pain, nightmare. I stopped taking the medication by the third day however side effects increased to pain and muscle spasms all over my legs and arms. I am only a week out into this medication being prescribed to me and I am having difficulty walking and bending down to use restroom and doing simple daily things that were never an issue previously. I have been in the ER two times in the past week and have been very fatigued and lost weight. I also have pain in my feet, ankles, hands, fingers, swelling, and my body is making cracking sounds over simply movements that sound like someone is cracking their knuckles. It is very scary. I hope I recover as soon as possible. Doctors don't really know what to do. Praying for my health. Read More Read Less

Was prescribed Cirpo after being diagnosed with a UTI and possible early stages of a kidney infection, however 16 hours after taking my first dose I was getting pain in my legs and ankles. Took 2 more doses and was foggy all day and unable to concentrate, got dizzy whenever I stood or even sat up. Worked to kill the infection, but went to a doctor and told them about the leg pain and they took me off and switched me to a different antibiotic.

I took this med for a UTI. Within 2 days of taking the medication I developed severe burning urination way worse then the infection I was trying to cure. Cipro killed the good bacteria in my gut that digests oxalates in food. So basically if I eat spinach, I pee fire. I also developed a chronic imbalance in my vaginal flora that causes painful intercourse, and a raw rash like feeling in my vagina. Food allergies, anxiety, Leaky Gut syndrome, nutritional deficiencies.. D-Mannose is a supplement that can kill Ecoli bacteria without any side affects. Research it! This stuff has ruined my womanhood.Read More Read Less

I have had no problems taking Cipro at all. However, I now ask my doctor not to prescribe it to me since my close friend suffered terrible, painful side effects to her tendons and even had to go through physiotherapy.

DO NOT EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, TAKE THIS DANGEROUS HARMFUL, DIBILITATING DRUG!!!!! This was given to me for a UTI with no warning of the horrible side effects! I took one dose of this and woke up the following day with such excruciating pain in my arms which has never gone away since. It's been years that I've suffered with this and it's just getting worse making it almost impossible to do my job anymore. How can a Dr. or a Physicians Assistant prescribe this drug to anyone, knowing how harmful it is? Do they really get kickbacks from the pharmaceutical companys and how would they like it if somebody gave this drug to one of their loved ones? It has ruined my life. I get very depressed because I can't even pick up my grandchildren any more due to the pain and weakness. I have lost all muscle tone in my arms but that's only a miniscule part of what I have really lost. Shame on the Drs. and all the associates for prescribing this poison and ruining people's lives! Cipro is not worth the side effects. Please, please do yourself a favor and get educated on this poison of a drug instead of just taking it because your doctor prescribed it. Day 1 and 2 of takingredients Cipro and I felt out of my mind. Could focus, zoned out, hard to concentrate. Day 3 I woke up in the middle of the night with extreme pain in both ankles. Later that day I had difficulty walking as my ankle pain developed into ankle pain and leg pain. I had leg spasms, weakness, shakiness, and lots of pain that felt like I was getting hit with a hammer. Called the doctor and they determinedon't I have tendinitis in both legs. I'm not sure how long I'm going to suffer with this, but do yourself a favor and research Cipro Tendinitis, as it is different than regular tendinitis. Please choose a differenew drug!!! This is way too potent and the pharmacy and doctors don't even warn you of the "rare" side effects. Read More Read Less

First time being diagnosed with diverticulitis. I was prescribed Flagyl and Cipro. I'm pretty sure I've never been so sick in my life after 2.5 days of the meds. Nausea started day 1....worsened day 2....unbearable day 3. I couldn't even drink water. Finally, vomiting and diarrhea AT THE SAME TIME. Acute care prescribed an anti-nausea med and amoxicillin to replace both the previously mentioned antibiotics. Feeling better this evening, and will start amoxicillin tomorrow. Only problem is, now that I'm not ridiculously sick to my stomach, I can feel all the pelvic pressure again and can barely walk without being bunched over. Read More Read Less

Got extremely tired after taking last pill. I was on this for three days 500 mg every 12 hours. I am now having pain in my left knee and thigh. My carpet tunnel on both hands is hurting. Not too sure i would recommend this drug. It is very strong.
