No problems experienced and infection cleared. I think all the people who have had complications associated with this drug need to remember that it is a drug, and all drugs have possible side effects, that is why there are warnings documented. The percentage of individuals worldwide who have complications linked with this drug is very small. Anytime you take any kind of pharmaceutical there is a r...

I had some pain when I urinated and in my kidneys. After submitting a sample of my urine. He said I have a kidney infection, so he prescribed me Cipro. I did see the warning from my pharmacy, but I was too stupid to do a thorough research before I took it. Once I took it beside one time diarrhea, but 10 days after I finished the 7-day course, I started having pain and weakness in my arms. My knees...

The side effects of Cipro are not worth the bactericide ones. This drug interacts with almost everything in my life. It makes coffee into nervous condition and even without coffee; it causes tremors, malaise, and unclear thinking. I would never recommend this and I won’t take again even if I get anthrax. This drug isn’t worth it.

I eat a lot of dairy products – yogurt, cheese, soy milk fortified with calcium. The process of taking the RX 2 hours before eating dairy products or taking vitamins was very difficult for me. And worst was timing 6 hours after eating the dairy products or taking vitamins. I also found this RX to be difficult on my stomach. I would appreciate something different if I haveneed of an timing 6 hours after eating the dairy products or taking vitamins. I also found this RX to be difficult on my stomach. I would appreciate something different if I have the need of an antiboitic again. Read More Read Less

I'm very susceptible to UTIs. I usually get one every year or so. I've used Cipro for a number of years. It's usually prescribed in a 7 to 10 day range. It does make me tired here and there as well as a bit dizzy now and then, but it relieves my infections very quickly and, overall, I am quite satisfied.

Scary stuff. It was originally prescribed for 30 days. I had a lot of digestive tract problems as well as some mood changes. Probiotics help with the gut problems. Second round sent me to the hospital. First my tongue swelled up and I went hoarse, then, after 1.5 days, 2x500Mg/day, my pulse jumped from a resting 72BPM to 120BPM, and my blood pressure spiked to 168/110 (normally around 130/80). Stayed like this for hours and hours and then at 2AM it started climbing again. Luckily I was in the ER by then and they gave me some clonidine as the BP was climbing through 180/111. I have been on Clonidine for two days now and it looks like I will be on it for awhile. Read More Read Less

I research a drug before I take it and I read all kinds of scary stuff about Cipro. It seems the scary stuff is always so popular. People complained abut all kinds of mental things happening, and torn tendons. It's important to know that a lot of the illnesses that Cipro treats can affect your mood/mental state. Also, 70% of the US is on anti-depressants. Why blame the cipro? Lastly, how long a person is on a med does affect what if any side effects occur. Be gentle with yourself, give yourself time to heal and if you get a UTI (or anthrax), you may need cipro. I am on immunosuppressants, and I am very thankful to have this med. My only "complaint" is my right calf is hurting (muscle pain) and I feel a bit crappy in general from the UTI.Read More Read Less

I have had an upset stomach and a bad taste in my mouth the entire time I have taken Cipro. Also, towards the end of the cycle (10 days) I have had back pain and a headache.

I was given Cipro for a Urinary Tract Infection. I have never had an antibiotic make me so miserable. I've been nothing but very nauseous and dizzy for the past two days. I'm confident that it'll get rid of my infection, but I'm not thrilled that I get to spend the next 3 days feeling sick to my stomach.

I have had bladder and kidney problems since I was born. Because of my condition I usually get 4-5 Bladder/kidney infections a year. I have taken Cipro for about the last 15 years. The one thing people should know is that you can have an allergic reaction. My grandmother can't take it due to something in it. For me, it works the best. I do make sure I take it with food otherwise I can get a little bit of an upset stomach. Other than that I have no other side effects. I have tried Macrobid but it doesn't seem to work as well when I have a very painful infection. Read More Read Less
