Due to a wreck involving an 18 wheeler I have a trick back. First time I took it I was staggering, and had slurred speech on the first day. This drastically reduced on the second day and cleared the on the third. I have taken since with no side effects. It does work well for me.

Started this med 10mg when I was 54 for sleep, I'm now 65 and went off it. It stopped working and I had dry mouth for so many years and the last 2 years hoarseness. I now have been diagnosed with low kidney function, scary. I've been a very healthy woman, heart like a 16 yr old my doc tells me. I have had fibromyalgia since I was 42 yrs old. In those years they didn't know what I had, it took 2 years to get a correct diagnosis. For 2 years I only slept 2hrs a night and tried to hold down a job. Finally had to stop working. I wouldn't stay on Flexeril for a long period of time if I knew what I know now. It seemed like a blessing for so many years to get deep sleep every night, but now I'm going to be paying for it. My Doc. prescribed cyclobenzaprine Generic for flexeril,for my back ache. I have been swelling in my abdomen and can't belch.I don;t know what to do about it.

it helps me to sleep better at night time and I don't hurt all the time.

My MD would not let me take flexeril after being on it for a year. It helped my muscle spasms and allowed me to be able to work.

Found Flexeril Oral to help with spasms but, caused ringing in ears, red hot skin, night sweats, headaches and found it hard to urinate. Glad I stopped using all together.!

I have been taking flexeril for 10 years .It is a fast acting relief to my unexplained muscle cramps that were so severe that I endured muscle tears and surgery for the damage the cramps did .

I am 36 yo, have ruptured discs in my neck and spine, as well as bulging discs, degerative disc disease in my neck which apparently looks like it is more like that of someone twice my age, and have cervical stenosis. I am very tired of taking Vicodin and going to PT non stop, and asked for a new option. The normal me very rarely sleeps. Now I am exhausted all day long, but do sleep hard at night. I have not noticed any difference in the pain that stems from my neck and down my spine, causing numbness/tingling all the way to my fingertips and toes. Reading the side effects, I am having many; slurred speech, dizziness, confusionn, mood changes, etc., and am on 5 other meds daily that can interact with Flexeril (headache preventive Topamax which is primarily used for seizures, Wellbutrin for severe depression, Xanax for "OMGosh everyone JUST GO AWAY FROM ME!" anxiety, sleeping pill Trazadone (new med with flexeril, and Vicodin, the narcotic pain reliever. Sent a message to my doc, I want to change it, quit taking since all it does is make me feel not the good kind of drunk, hungover, and not in control of myself. Christmas was a drugged blur. Not sure whether or not I should be concerned or not. Has anyone else combined these meds with Flexeril or had similar side effects? I feel it has no benefits to helping with muscle spasms due to fibromyalgia. Also the headaches I get worsen with taking this drug.

Just works for me.

i found after 2 days of being on this medication, i suffered with extreme abdominal pain ( lower on both sides ) still waiting to see if it was in fact the drug that caused the pain

I have had most of the negative symptoms as indicated by this drug whether it be severe or less severe...
