I was cleared up after a week and the reoccurance has been nil. No side effects to speak of. I've never seen a product work as fast and as well as this one. I'm very satisfied and now I can smile and be seen in public again. I'm experiencing adult acne and problems due to age and menopause, this has helped tremendously.

It was promoted to me by an eager Dermatologist as a "wonder cure" for my increasingly problematic Rosacea. For the first three days, I felt pretty bad after taking this drug but eventually got used to it. I would estimate a 10% difference in the redness and overall flare ups from this horrible disease. Is 10% improvement worth the high price for this drug- that I haven't determined yet but I'...

After numerous topical treatments and oral medicines that did not help my acne my doctor put me on 40mg of Oracea - I have been taking it now for 5 weeks and am thrilled! Within 3 weeks all of my acne was gone and I have yet to have one flair up (I usually have 3-5 new flair ups every week). So I will continue taking this product. I also have not had any side effects.

I took advantage of the $25.00 introductory price. My face cleared up completely after two months, with no side affects. When I went to get my 3rd refill, I was told it cost $320.00 per month with insurance, and $440.00 per month w/o insurance! Wish I had never tried it, because I can't use it anymore at +$10.00 per pill. Very disappointed.

Did not work at all for my wife, I however noticed an improvement in two days. Have been taking for a month and every morning am happier with the mecicine. Had a facial and the black heads did not return as usual. My skin has never looked clearer or as soft. I finally dont look like I have been drinking booze all day, and have a very red face.

Lately, my face has been getting red and bumpy for long periods, followed by only short periods of clarity. My dermatologist said that the rosacea periods should lessen, but I have yet to experience that with this medicine. It is as though the medicine is doing nothing or, worse, aggravating the problem. I am going to ask to try something different, and I would suggest anyone else do the same. This stuff is overpriced and vastly inadequate!

I saw limited results from oracea. It has to be taken daily. I developed rashes around the eyes which were very itchy and had to be treated with some anti-fungal. I tried minocycline 100 mg/day for a short period and had great results. Also, for a generic drug - doxycycline - this stuff is expensive.

FOR ALL OF YOU USING THE BRAND NAME "ORACEA" NOTE THAT YOU COULD BE SAVING $$$$$$$$$$ BY JUST ASKING YOUR DOCTOR FOR DOXYCYCLINE WHICH IS THE GENERIC OF ORACEA! I DON'T KNOW HOW A COMPANY CAN MARKET A NAMED BRAND SCRIPT COSTING A POSSIBLE ARM & LEG WHEN ALL THE PRESCRIPTION IS AN ANTIOBIOTIC CALLED DOXYCYCLINE WHICH IS READILY AVAILABLE AND REASONABLY PRICE!

Have used high doses of Tetracycline’s and Azithromyacin for 2+ years with intolerable side effects. After just a month on Oracea, my skin is the clearest it has ever been, and I have stopped flushing. I'm so happy to have found the link to Oracea. My dermatologist did not recommend because of the high cost, but if you go to the website you can enroll in a program that allows you get the prescription for $25.00 per month. It was easy to sign up for, and my pharmacist ran my coupon and honored the discount. This has been the best product that I have used for my moderate rosacea with moderate acne. It also treats my flushing, which no other product did for me. Read More Read Less

I took Oracea once a ady in the morning. athefirst day I felt unusually tired, but decided o contue them for three monigs. The fatigue incresed and my speech was slurred. I contacted my Dr. and ge informed me that the reaction I experienced was very unusual and to stop taking them. He does not kno why I had the reaction and prescribed a topical cream called Finacea, which seems to be helping. I do take numerous medications for other conditions, so that could possibly effect the Oracea.

This medicine I took as a last ditch effort before having to go back on acutane for my acne. In the past four years I developed terrible acne, something three doctors have now tried to treat. After Acutane my face cleared for a year then it all came back. This has been the only other medication including topical ointments that actually clears my skin! Its great, the only complaint i have is that it makes me have to use the bathroom an awful lot and I am very gasey... I guess a clear face is worth the cost of running to the bathroom a couple times a day.Read More Read Less

I have been on this drug for a couple of years, oracea keeps outbreaks at bay. I have to make sure to take this everyday or I will get a pimple (especially on my nose). I have had no side effects. It is an expensive drug, but I have a $25 drug card from the manufacturer.

I have taken Oracea for only 11 days so far. I have been taking minocyclene for a long time, and switched right over to Oracea because I have been getting headaches with the minocyclene. In the first 2 days, my acne started clearing up - my face got very dry, and my hair felt like straw for several days. In the last couple days my hair has started to feel not as bad, but now my underground pimples are coming back. For about a week I have more bumps all over my face (when usually they are just on the chin and around the nose. And my face feels rough. Make-up now looks cacky. It seems that my body is adjusting to the dryness and is now trying to bring in more oil (which usually I had much of). I may continue for longer to see if time will help. But I worry about the side-affects since it is producing such a change within my skin and hair.Read More Read Less

I have been on this drug for about 2 1/2 years for rosacea. It took a few weeks to get into my system, but once it did it cleared up my skin wonderfully. I now don't have trouble with rosacea and I hardly get any pimples anymore, and when I do, they are tiny and go away in a day or two. I take it in the morning with breakfast and don't seem to have trouble with stomach aches from it either.

I have tried Oracea on two separate occasions to treat Rosacea flare-ups. On both occasions, a few hours after taking the pill, I became very ill with flu-like symptoms: nausea, dizziness, chills, joint and muscle pain, headache, and extreme fatigue. These symptoms persisted for about 6 hours in both cases. My reaction was not, to my knowledge, life-threatening, It was, however, very uncomfortable and rendered me unable to work on those two days. I have taken doxycyclene previously without incident.Read More Read Less

I originally thought I had poison ivy, but I finally got a bad flair up and went to the dermatologist. She prescribed this for me and it worked in less than 3 weeks. However, I had to take it with food because I got severe stomach pains. I have been off it for a week now and I still have abdominal pain from the medication. If this is the only severe side affect than I will continue to take this to keep my rosacea from flaring up.

Oracea destroys my stomach even taken as directed. Have not seen much improvement after 2 months of use. Still red on cheeks and chest and back break out something fierce with cystic acne. To each his own but it's expensive and I don't think it's a miracle cure.

Perscribed for mild case of ocular rosacea and vascular rosacea on face (primarily red not pimples, etc.). Both developed during menopause. Did not do much for the red (only laser seems to help) but much to my surprise it decreased my teeth plaque and ear wax about 50% so now ear was in normal range and only need a teeth cleaning every 4 months instead of 3. Next step is further testing of stomach flora based on these results.

have been on Oracea for 4mos. Noticed a slight difference after 8 weeks; however, when I waited 3 days to refill my prescription, it set my progress back quite a bit! Going into my 5th month, & think I'll quit. Experienced 0 side effects. Used in conjuction with Metrogel -also, no side effects; however, no success, either. I am a 45yr old female -skin went downhill when I got off the pill 10yrs ago.
