I'm really surprised to hear all of these negative reviews because I've had a really great experience with Beyaz. A few years ago, I was taking regular Yaz and I really liked it. After I lost my insurance I switched to a generic that was cheaper, Lo Ovral. On Lo Ovral, I got frequent headaches and gained about ten pounds. So as soon as I got my insurance back, I switched to Beyaz (Yaz now has a ge...

I have been taking Beyaz almost 4 mos. & my periods have been more regular & lighter than they have in years. I am 46 yrs. old and have had a lot of spotting & irregularity. So far it is working for me. I feel a little more snappy than before, but not depressed. I am going to continue. My doctor said some women will quit having a period after taking Beyaz. That would be great!

I've tried a few different pills. Started with Yaz but switched to Loestrin 24 (caused numerous yeast infections)then swithed to Beyaz. I have been on Beyaz for almost 2 years and love it. I do still have PMS and cramping but it is extremely unbearable without the pill. My period has been lighter and extremely regular all but one month (caused by change in diet and schedule)and I have not had to use another form of protection. The coupon card also makes it affordable since I have no insurance currently. Out of all 3 birth control pills I have used, this is by far my favorite. Read More Read Less

I'm so moody since starting beyaz unlike most people it seems to be breaking my face out, something I've never had problems with in the past. I've only been taking it for about 5weeks so maybe my body is adjusting to it ill probably stay on it for another month or so I really don't like this birth control but that doesn't mean u won't.

I started taking this birth control about a little more than a week before. I have always been weary about taking birth control but thought I would give it a try since I am going to be getting married. The first two days I felt unbelievably tired and nauseous. When that finally went away I started having horrible headaches that would not go away. Needless to say I stopped taking after this short time because I felt like my body was our of whack. Also, my appetite increased which was extremely abnormal for me. Read More Read Less

I was on this pill for about 3 years with absolutley no problems. I think I might have even lost a few pounds without any excersize or diet changes but once my doctor knew I was smoking she took me right off of it and switched me to lo loestrin which made me a nutcase! I only took that for a little over 2 months. I stopped taking bc for about 6 months and then went back on with ortho tri cyclen lo. This bc made my periods come 1-3 days early. My hair went from wavy to pin straight and my weight increased about 8 pounds on top of me excersizing and dieting. Now my doc prescribed a new one called Balziva which I hope turns out better. I wouldnt take this pill for the fact that it's all over the TV with bad reviews for your health. But every body is different so... Read More Read Less

I think I'm having an allergic reaction to it. I have huge hives all over my body and I'm extremely itchy.

I was on Zovia for several years until the last 6 months on it, like clockwork, I became very hormonal during the 2 weeks prior to my period to a point which was detrimental to my relationships and my job because of the negative and destructive change in my emotional and physical state. I was told that hormones change in late 20’s and it was due time to switch birth control’s. I switched to Beyaz. For the first month, I experienced a very sluggish, tired, inability to focus phase for about 2 weeks. This phase also consisted of a dull look to my skin and dark circles under my eyes. I don’t know if it’s from the fatigue or just the hormones. I also had break-through bleeding during intercourse (never happened previously) which was very uncomfortable for both my boyfriend and I. I also had a delayed period as from my past birth control. I overlooked it since I felt that my body was adapting to the new hormones. Now on my second pack of pills, and in the 2 weeks phase of fatigue, dull colored skin, and intermittent headaches, I’m hoping this is just my body adapting to the new pills and this does not become a routine every single month. I will give it probably one more month before I consider any changes. On a different note, for me, the positives with the Beyaz is clearer skin, a light period (equivalent to just spotting), and not having the destructive hormonal phase as with my other pill. I started off with Yaz a few years back and loved it. I went off bc completely for about a year and a half after that, then decided to try Beyaz. The first month was awful, I have never been so moody and emotional and my poor fiance had to deal with it. The pill did reduce cramps and clear up my skin, but that's about all the good it did do. I started getting migranes randomly while on the pill that would make me miss work. On top of that, it reduced my sex drive, but that's not the worst part. Since on the pill, I formed a two tumors on my liver (begnine), but was told that it can rupture if I continue on the pill. The only reason I gave this pill 2 stars is because it actually cleared up my skin. It has been the only cure for my acne in 12 years. But, I would take acne over a tumor any day.Read More Read Less

The first month of Beyaz made me a monster and my poor husband had to live through it. I sort of adjusted to it within the next few months, but I found that this pill took away my sex drive. Also, I developed a tumor in my liver because of this pill. Needless to say I got off the pill immediately. I was grumpy for the first week or so of being off of it, but now that I am, my vision is clearer and I feel way happier. The only plus of this pill is that it cleared up my skin. I will take acne over a liver tumor any day though. I do NOT recommend this pill.Read More Read Less

i have been on previfem the past year and thought it made me a little more emotional/sensitive so at my annual review i spoke with my doctor about trying something new. she recommended beyaz and gave me 4 months worth of free samples. she said it's one of the only birth control pills that are known to be "mood enhancers", so i figured i'd try it out. i finished my pack of the old pills and then started my first beyaz packet. i was feeling sick that entire first week and after feeling worse day by day i looked into my lifestyle changes. the only "new" thing was my birth control, which at this point i had been taking beyaz for about 5 days. i was sooo lightheaded and nauseous and dizzy and drowsy. my eyes were so heavy, i couldn't think straight. sitting up, laying down, anything and everything made me dizzy. i am so thankful i figured out what was making me so extremely sick! i called me doctor the next morning when i figured this out to get back on my old birth control. i have been off of beyaz for two days now and still feel sick. a little better but sick nonetheless. hopefully these hormones leave my body soon as i can start feeling like myself again!Read More Read Less

I started taking this 2 years ago, when I was 21. Loved it! The first week or 2 was crazy, I was very emotional, swollen tender breasts, nauseated, that sort of thing. But after the 2 weeks, I was perfectly fine! My period was light, no cramps, and only lasted a few days! Now my periods last about 2-3 days, super light, no cramps, and I never spot. However, I do need to change because my insurance no longer covers this brand. I am very upset that I need to change, but I can't afford paying $95 a month for this! But I highly reccomend it. After being on Beyaz for 6 days I noticed a major change in myself. I had headaches for the entire second week and I hardly ever get headaches. I woke up one morning and didn't feel "right." I was very sluggish, shaky and felt out of it. This continued for the 2nd week as well. The best way to describe it was that my head was in a cloud. I wasn't speaking clearly and I would be holding something and my hand would just release it. I spoke to my doctor and switched my prescription to Ortho Tri Cyclen, which I will be starting tomorrow. My doctor originally wanted to put me on OTC but I had been on YAZ and she had the generic of YAZ in the office. I do not recommended Beyaz to anyone. Read More Read Less

Like most other reviewers, I used to take Yaz but my doctor changed my prescription based on the Bayer drug card and that Yaz was now available via generic formulation. I have had the mood swings that I never had with Yaz and my hair has gone from straight to wavy and with every month I take it, my hair gets wavier. I haven't had any problems with my period and therefore, I stay on it but I did prefer Yaz over this one.

Very dangerous birth control. My 16 year old NON-smoking healthy very active daughter developed a blood clot in her left arm after being on Beyaz for two months. It was the only medication she was on. Read the reports! This drug is not safe! If you're going to take birth control pills, use the old standard ones. Much safer!

I was prescribed Beyaz when I was 18. I will admit I was pretty moody and the first week, but after that my body seemed to adjust. My periods became shorter and lighter and my cramps weren't as bad. I was very nervous to try Beyaz because of the reviews I read, but each person is different. I was on Beyaz for 5 months until I found out that my insurance stopped covering it and had to switch. If I could afford to pay the full price and stay on Beyaz I would.

I started Beyaz a month ago. Didn't notice much with it other than just bleeding like I was on the other birth control I was on. I have been spotting for pretty the whole time I have been on it. But about 2 weeks into it my breasts were very tender and they have grown in size. It has not decreased at all. Also, I am a small girl and have trouble gaining weight. I have gained 5 to 8 lbs in a month. My apatite has increased. I feel nausea every so often on it too. No mood swings that I can notice feel pretty normal. But not really in the mood to have sex. Probably not going to stay on this birth control. Read More Read Less

I previously used Generess Fe, which caused constant breast tenderness, spotting, and low sex drive. After switching to Beyaz, those symptoms were replaced with CONSTANT tiredness to a point where I would sleep early and wake up late still feeling sleepy. I tried my best to tolerate this pill, but I can't do it anymore as I feel like the chronic fatigue is interfering with my life. Also, I found myself being more forgetful than usual, often forgetting things I don't forget.

The first 6 months my skin broke out quite a bit. Thankfully, that has leveled off now. I also gained about 15 pounds in the 16 months I have been on Beyaz. I take it to regulate my period. But the past two months I have had bleeding a few days before my period was supposed to start.

I have been taking BeYaz for almost a year now and I love it. I have had no side effects with this pill and have very light periods (only about 1 day).
