I took this drug for 8 months. I experienced nose bleeds, easy bruising, and difficulty urinating after 2 months. My cardiologidt switched me to another anti coagulant and ALL these symptoms went away within one week

My husband used this drug for 4 months after receiving 2 stints in his heart. Brilinta killed him approximately 4 months later of an uncontrolled upper GI bleed.

Extremely Expensive. The doc switched me to Plavix.. Their Drug cost assistance program is a sham.

My husband had a hemorrhage in his brain from Brilinta and almost died. I would be very cautious taking this medication. He was on it for 21 months after having two stents put in. The neurologist said it was the Brilinta that caused it. Just know the risks if you are going to take this drug. It can cause an uncontrollable bleed. Wish we had known the risks more.

I was given this medication in the doctors office on 3/20/19.. on my drive home had a lot of confusion and about half way through my hour drive I didn't even know how I got where I was ... severe shortness of breath and panic attacks... I will not take this drug again ... I'd rather take my chances of having another heart attack...this medication is awful

I am an SCAD Patient. I have a tear in my artery. Doctors in the hospital put me on Brilinta because I was allergic to Plavix which gave me a rash and terrible itching. So far all Brilinta has done is give me an upset stomach and diarrhea everytime I eat anything. Very winded just walking around the house. Rash went away but the itching everywhere continues.

Although this medication has done what it was made to do, I am having awful side effects to include severe shortness of breath, headaches, occasional stomach pain and diarrhea , I have read many reviews of this medicine and agree with others who claim this medicines is like a poison. Tried talking to cardiologist today to switch to possibly plavix after a day of severe breathing difficulties just my luck he's on vacation will be seeing his stand in next week if I can make it that long.

I had shortness of breath, chest pain, fatigue, nervousness and irregular heat beat after taking Brilinta. At first I felt Ok but I kept getting worse. After 4 weeks I was feeling so bad went to ER admitted and had a stress test. Dr said pictures looked good but EKG didn't so he did another cath, all was good. he said he didn't know what the problem was maybe he should read the side effects. I feel like I have missed a weeks work, had an expensive dangerous invasive procedure for nothing. I wonder if he will pay my bill because I feel he should have known my side effects were caused by the medicine. Read More Read Less

I had a major heart attack 4 1/2 years ago. A stent was placed, and I've taken Brilinta since then. No serious side effects-- a couple of nosebleeds, a little shortness of breath on occasion with exercise, 2 episodes of bad chest pain. Compared to what could be, I'm very happy.

I had immediate shortness of breath requiring oxygen in the hospital. After leaving the hospital Could breathe only during and after exercise. Chest discomfort requiring nitroglycerin.. Horrible bruising, suicidal depression and anxiety, and high blood sugar ( it came down an average of 30 points after quitting this drug). I also had nosebleeds, minor rectal bleeding...which otherwise never happens). At first I lost weight...great...but then regained it. Since quitting I've begun to lose weight again but more slowly. I was not able to sleep lying down fully due to shortness of breath. Since switching to Plavix I have had no side effects!Read More Read Less
