Love the transdermal system. No more hot flashes, vaginal dryness, or sleepless nights. Had some break-through bleeding first few months (light period) but that was explained to me by physician before I started it. I've been on it about 1.5 years now and only side-effect is weight gain around my waist. I've researched other HRT and think this is the best. I'm on the lowest dose 0.05/0.14. Is ...

I used the patch for 2 weeks and then started bleeding. I still have my uterus and ovaries so maybe this is why. My doctor had me come in and have an ultrasound to make sure nothing else was wrong. All o.k. on the ultrasound. I'm disappointed because my hot flashes were very minimal. I'd rather have "hot flashes" than bleed.

I am 48 with narcolepsy. I've had night sweats for YEARS, worsening in the last six months. I would wake up soaked multiple times a night - not good for someone who already has sleep issues. This patch (lowest dosage) worked immediately for me - I've had two completely dry nights and just feel better overall. I haven't been using the patch long enough to experience the side effects that others have written about. But after being sleep deprived for so long, any side effects will have to be severe for me to give this up. This patch has been life changing for me!Read More Read Less

On Combipatch for nearly 3 months…had constant bleeding (heavier every 2 weeks) which stopped immediately once I started putting the patch on the fat pads on my hips (in back). Vaginal tissues feel great -- sex is comfortable again! Libido is better (I'm more in neutral than strongly opposed now). Constant lower back pain. Occasional leg cramps. Have had 2 instances of vision distortion that were very scary -- have never had those before. Feeling mild intermittent depression (have had depression in past so I know the symptoms). Not sure pros are outweighing the cons though….Read More Read Less

I am 37 and have POF. My only symptom was occasional hot flashes which disappeared after being on the patch for a week. I started spotting about 2 weeks after starting the patch, it lasted 2 weeks and then disappeared. The patch is easy enough to put on and hasn't fallen off yet. My only complaint is that it never sticks 100 percent around the edges and it collects lint in that area, which looks rather gross. Other than that, it is easy to use and I don't even think about it until it's time to change patches.Read More Read Less

I'm 63 hoping for relief for night sweats & sleep interruption. Not quite 2 weeks on this lowest dose combination patch and have my 1st headache today. Not a migraine like my pre menopause days but noticeable. This same fear has kept me from trying the drug earlier. Still hope it can eliminate symptoms to warrant use of prescription migraine meds if necessary.

Apparently I was the typical menopausal woman. Hot flashes, irritability, insomnia, mild depression. I started the patch 3 weeks ago. My hot flashes immediately stopped. I am sleeping better. My sex drive is returning. The patch is easy. However, I am now realizing that I am having an allergic reaction in the form of a serious rash mostly on my arms and legs. I thought I had been bitten by a trillion mosquitos (since they have always loved me) but this itching is more intense and inflamed. Plus they seem to go dormant and then intensify again. I've ruled out bedbugs (ugh the thought) and chiggers. I have also noticed that my breasts are very tender and I experienced leg pain in my left leg today. I have noticed my jeans are much tighter at the waistline; I could barely button my go-to jeans this morning. I am realizing that this isn't the drug for me. I am calling my doctor first thing in the morning to report my issues and I have just removed the patch. Maybe there is something else for me that will give me all the pluses of this drug but alleviate the rash and other tenderness. I'm sure I'm not alone in that reasoning.Read More Read Less

Started taking the combipatch 2weeks ago. Have taken pill forms of HRT with large amounts of weight gain. So far, I've gained 15 lbs in 3 weeks!! Already over weight at the time I started. Bout fed up with HRT. Would rather suffer with symptoms! No problems with patch staying on! ha! Sticks around like a bad habit. I'm calling my doctor. Never tried bio-identical. Think it's time I do. Good luck to all those who don't mind suffering from diabetes due to HRT obesity. And for you ladies who aren't sure if it's you or the drug...I went thru early menopause at 19 and was put on hormones then. Gained 50 lbs!! YES! You read right! 50 lbs! Synthetics are bad for your body no matter what pocket robbing doctors and drug companies say! Worst part..no weight gain prior to the drugs and issues with it since taking them. This synthetic stuff gets into every cell of your body and causes real trouble. HRT users beware.Read More Read Less

I am 46 and in menopause. While I have been symptom free (a blessing for sure) I am concerned about bone loss etc. Been on the patch for several months and it has been ok, it's the lowest dose but had a period for 3 weeks. I decided to cut it in half and it's been much better.

This was prescribed for me by a doctor that is supposed to do bio-identical hormone replacement. But I found this contains progestins, not progesterone. Progestin is a synthetic drug similar to progesterone. And many people feel it's the progestins that have caused the adverse side effects in hormone replacement. I will no use progestins. I have a call in to the doctor to switch to a estradiol only patch and will continue to use progesterone cream. I'm wondering if some of the adverse side effects reported in these reviews are due to the progestins. Read More Read Less

Started combipatch 12 weeks ago. No period for 14 mos prior and been menopausal for 5+ years. Tried homeopath for 2 yrs but the hotflashes, night sweats, memory loss, vision, etc. forced me into HRT. Started with vivelle patch and every 3 month progesterone. Still mildly sympomatic but doc wanted me to have periods (I started pre-menopause at 39.) Good early results with combipatch-mostly symptom free, except for 12+ lbs of belly weight. Periodic mild periods/bleeding until 2 weeks ago. Now non-stop, heavy bleeding and cramping for past ten days. Frustrating since I love being menopause symptom free, but hate the bleeding and weight gain. Not sure if I can put up with a year of bleeding and cramping like this (it is supposed to subside after one year of treatment?)!Read More Read Less

I am 55 and going through full blown menopause with very severe symptoms, night sweat, constant hot flashes and anxiety, depression. My doctor prescribed the combipatch and within a few days I felt normal and happy again. It saved my sanity... The only side effects I feel is weight gain. So I am trying to cut back on portions and exercising more.

I feel so much better. I had severe hot flashes with an extremely high heart rate. It took about 2 weeks for total comfort but so far it has worked.

Quickly after starting CombiPatch my night sweats stopped, I slept through the night, and no flashing during the day. This was a fantastic change because I had been waking every hour on the hour.

Used the patch for 2 1/2 weeks. Began spotting and then heavy bleeding and all the old symptoms of "having my period", tired, cramps. I was using Estradoil patch for about a year and had great results, almost no sweating and fewer headaches. With Combi the headaches came back, I took it off and hope the bleeding stops soon.

I wore a combipatch for 15 years WITHOUT any problems. Was prescribed the patch for severe migraines. Greatly reduced the weekly migraines. When I was told at age 70 to stop the patch the hot flashes came on with a vengance. I have gone back to the patch which our new insurance company will not pay for. Must have been a man who came up with the formulary. I suggest the patch to anyone having hot flashes.

The Combipatch stopped the hot flashes, and severe mood swings. Also lost 38 lbs. Have been on the patch for almost two years free of all symptoms. One thing that has just popped up in the last 4 weeks is memory loss. Not sure where this is coming from but will discuss this with my GYN in a few weeks. I have suggested the Combipatch to a lot of people that were having a tough time with menopausal symptoms and have not heard any negative feedback but have recieved a lot of "thank yous". Great product!Read More Read Less

I have been on the patch for 2 weeks now and my hot flashes are gone! I was waking with terrible flashes and sweats anywhere between 3 and 7 times a night for over 8 months and tried every OTC treatment available; none of them worked. I am sleeping well now, can actually wear a long sleeve shirt again, and generally feeling great. I have had a tiny bit of spotting but that was to be expected (per combipatch website). The patch took about a week for me to really know that it was starting to work.Read More Read Less

Hot flashes, moodiness and insomnia. Enough already. Gyno said to give this a try. On lowest dose for 4 days no side effects so far and mood has improved. I hope it continues to improve my other symptoms. I'm giving it 3 stars to start.
