I have been on Contrave for almost full two weeks. I have had no noticeable side effects. Before starting Contrave, I was a sugar junkie - loved sweets everyday. Since I started Contrave, my craving for sweets have decreased dramatically. I am so happy to report that I do not think about food or sweets, my meals are smaller, and I have lost a little weight. I will keep taking Contrave and wil ... Show Full Comment

I was overweight- 158 in Aug of this year. Probably the heaviest I've ever been- 4 kids, age 54, very busy. Now its early November I'm down to 133. I eat two meals a day, very light mid morning breakfast, and a healthy lighter dinner about 6 pm. Will go out to dinner probably once a week- still healthy, salad and salmon or chicken, I avoid most carbs. I drink lots of water through the day. ... Show Full Comment

I took medication the first day and hunger pains went away but as the week went on the hunger came back. I also had hot flashes. Now I'm on 2 a day so I'll see how that goes. I have loss 3 lb in one week without exercise. So next week I'm going to start walking more to see if that will increase more weight loss.

I have a very low tolerance for medication and was not very optimistic about being able to handle Contrace but thought it was worth a try. Iâ??m on day 8 and have very mild side effects. If I over eat I get nauseated, which isnâ??t a bad thing, reminds me not to over eat and experienced diarrhea for the first few days but that has cleared up. I could feel the affects immediately. Felt dizzy the first week, started the second week with 1 pill in am and 1 in pm. One 12th day i developed a sever allergic reaction, rash from my knees to my chest, had to get medication from my doctor. The itch was unbearable, missed 3 days of work and after 1 1/2 weeks I still have a bumpy rash and itch.
