This medication works for me after all the other antidepressants either didn't work at all or stopped working. And NO...I do not work for a drug company. This medication started working much faster than others I've tried or been on and I don't to worry about the hellish withdrawal side effects I experienced when I stopped taking Effexor and celexa. I haven't gained any weight (I've actually lost a...

This was the most annoying medication to actually acquire from the pharmacy. I had to go THREE times because of the SAME issue! (That it needed approval from my doctor). And then make sure you activate their discount card before your pharmacy actually fills it. The issues surrounding this medication are not worth its effects. My doctor gave me samples to try beforehand, and honestly, I should have...

I can tolerate the side effects of Trintellix and couldn’t for most other similar drugs. It took a few weeks to get used to it, and to increase the dose to 10 mg per day. I only get minimal nausea that goes away with crackers. I’ve lost a few pounds, and sleep a bit more. Weird dreams too. But it helps a lot with depression. It's? pricey but worth the cost. The side effects of about 10 other meds I tried were just intolerable. Trintellix has been great so far.

Unrelenting nausea that I have to take Zofran for and no motivation whatsoever. Iâ??m 100% worse than Iâ??ve been in a very long time. Over 3 months into this and Iâ??m constantly in the verge of crying, screaming or giving up. Will be going back to Prozac ASAP.

All I do is puke and joke about my own demise. She said it would help with my adhd/anxiety management which it is only making worse. Zero motivation and I feel like I’m coming off of a hard drug w only 10/mg per day. I was suspicious when she said it would replace my other anti anxiety meds, no dice. Seems like more snake oil from big pharma if you ask me.

I took Trintellix for 7 months. After app. 1 month, I slept 10-12 hours a day. I became 95% non-functioning; no energy or interest in anything. I could be thirsty, but take an hour before I could push myself to get up to get a drink. Even things like brushing my teeth took major effort so was often skipped. I couldn't do all that I needed to for my job. I couldn't stand the way I was feeling and was planning on asking my counselor the next Thurs. about mental health hospitalization and what different treatments they could even try. On Fri. after Christmas, I realized I was out of pills. Between my pharmacist being ill and the holiday, it wasn't filled until Wed., but I didn't have gumption to pick it up. Thurs. morning, six days off of Trintellix, I woke up feeling like a cloud had lifted; I felt so much better. I googled users reviews and found a site where app. 21% had reported the extreme fatigue and lack of motivation and total depression that I had experienced, but it isn't on the medication info paper and my prescriber wasn't aware. (Yeah, why didn't she check into it when I was so bad for months?!) In addition, I gained 30 pounds while eating little. It is 9 months later, and I'm still trying to play catch-up with my job and house. I'm afraid to try another anti-depressant, primarily because this is the third that caused weight gain, which heavily increases the depression. Read More Read Less

I've been on a few other medications before this. I met with a new doctor who put me on this saying to push through the nausea, it will let up after a couple of weeks. well, here I am 45 days into using this drug and I'm still sick to my stomach. I have thrown up a handful of times on this medication. I'm also dealing with increased tiredness, worsening concentration, absent libido, increased dry mouth, dizziness and itching. I've also noticed an increase in my ears ringing. my mood hasn't gotten better. it's very ineffective for me. Read More Read Less

I have been on many anti depressants over the years and always ended up coming off either from weight gain side effects or just not workin all together. This medication has saved my life. I am in control of my emotions, have energy and dont get overwhelmed so easily. My family has noticed a big difference in me as well. Thank u trintellix

I started This medication when I had tried Prozac, Zoloft, Lexapro, Effexor and mirtazapine with no change. I have schizoaffective disorder and this was added for my depression. It makes me nauseated about an hour after I take it for a half hour or so and then it passes. If I take it with food there is less of an issue. I find ginger ale helps a lot as well. This medication has been helpful with my depression. I’m still depressed but it is slightly less intense. I think of suicide a lot less now as well. I will keep taking it and see how it goes. I am hopeful. Read More Read Less

Helped a little with energy and getting moving but not worth the side effects. Caused severe constipation and loss of libido. And did not help with mood stabilization and irritability.

I have been on many different depression medications over the years with none really helping with my anxiety, insomnia, fatigue and general depression. I went to a new Dr and he wanted me to try Trintellix. I took it on an empty stomach at bedtime and within 1 hour of taking it the extreme neausea started! It lasted for five hours then I started vomiting. Dr prescribed Zofran to help with that. The next night I took it on a full stomach with Zofran, no issues. Almost two weeks taking it I started having bad constipation. It's been a full week w/o a bowel movement. Dr said to stop taking Trintellix. So, it really did not help with any of my symptoms and added new, unpleasant side effects. I have a slow digestive tract anyway, so I have no idea why the Dr would've insisted I take something knowing this about me?? For me, this medicine is literally a "no go". I've tried Miralax for three days in a row, nothing. So now I might have to try a supppository to get things "moving" again. Thanks Doc!?Read More Read Less

Occasional nausea, but overall improved my depression symptoms effectively. The only thing I wish I could change is the effect on my libido, it has gone into hibernation.

I‘ve been on this medication for 4 months now. I havenâ??t had any of the side effects listed...maybe because itâ??s my first time taking such medication...overall, itâ??s helping me with my low morale and keeping me concentrated at work, school and with my family.

I had previously given Trintellix a rave review. Since that time, I have been suffering with pancreatitis, which the doctors could only attribute to Trintellix, as I had no other contributing factors, AND pancreatitis is a known side effect of the drug. Trust me - you NEVER want pancreatitis! This is something you would only wish on your worst enemies. From now on I will look at the side effects of every medication before even trying them.

Started taking this drug and immediately felt nauseous - not vomiting but sort of like I need to have food in my stomach all the time to feel OK. So, as you might guess, I am gaining weight. The drug makes me tired. Seems to be helping with depression and irritability. Not sure what to do. Switched to taking it at night, but still experiencing undesirable side effects.

This medication started working much faster than others I've tried or been on and I don't to worry about the hellish withdrawal side effects I experienced when I stopped taking Effexor and celexa. I haven't gained any weight (I've actually lost a little). The only side effect I've had is dry mouth-but that's pretty common with any antidepressants. I've been struggling with depression for 40 years now and have tried or used just about every antidepressant there is. Trintellix may not work for everyone but it works for me.Read More Read Less

I took Celexa for a couple of years and it stopped working. My doctor put me on Trintellex and my mood has significantly increased. I feel happy again. I have energy however the nausea and migraines are pretty awful. I take Zofran with the Trintellex at night. I feel hazy during the day but restless. Overall I'm happy with the drug but the side effects suck.

This helped me when many other drugs didn't. No weight gain or sexual disfunction. There may be some constipation issues because of the drug, but a probiotic helped with those. It was nice to find something that worked for me.
