This medication works for me after all the other antidepressants either didn't work at all or stopped working. And NO...I do not work for a drug company. This medication started working much faster than others I've tried or been on and I don't to worry about the hellish withdrawal side effects I experienced when I stopped taking Effexor and celexa. I haven't gained any weight (I've actually lost a...

This was the most annoying medication to actually acquire from the pharmacy. I had to go THREE times because of the SAME issue! (That it needed approval from my doctor). And then make sure you activate their discount card before your pharmacy actually fills it. The issues surrounding this medication are not worth its effects. My doctor gave me samples to try beforehand, and honestly, I should have...

I was very happy with this medication. I was on it for about 13 months. Things definitely got worse before they got better (maybe 3 weeks of EXTREME depression after I started taking it), but then it really started helping so much. The nausea is pretty bad, but I'd take it right before bed which I felt helped. It also didn't make me feel tired or hazy, which I know a lot of antidepressants do. It really just changed my mood, anxiety levels and motivation so positively.

I started my journey of antidepressants with Wellbutrin (which I hated and made me more suicidal), celexa (which I loved and stayed on for 9 months before it pooped out on me), and now I'm on trintellix. It took me from actively trying to end my own life to hanging out with friends and being genuinely happy again in a matter of two weeks. The only down side is that it gives me terrible nausea but I take zofran to get rid of it and it works like a charm. I also have acid reflux and a sensitive stomach anyway so it might work better if you have a normal stomach. I'm on 10 mg and I love it. Biggest transition in my mood and my coworkers noticed how happy I was too. It feels good to be happy again.Read More Read Less

Just started taking this as my other medicine stopped working. I am okay with it sometimes and other times not so sure, my Dr. and I are working that out. My quality of life is 20% better but that's not enough right now.

I have been on this now for over a year, taking it for MDD and PTSD. All I can say is this is a miracle drug. Very effective for me where others have failed miserably. I was on Wellbutrin and Cymbalta combined with very bad experience and horrible withdrawls. No problems with Trintellix from the very start.

Flat out didn't work for my MDD with anxiety. Only thing that has helped me in over 30 years is the new Ketamine treatment that is offered now. It was a quick and very effective treatment. Within a cpl tries I felt better than I have in yrs.

It makes me throw up even if I have a full stomach... I reduced dosage, still happens. Wish I could find something that works without making me sick or a zombie

I've been dealing with Major Depressive Disorder for at least 6 years as diagnosed. Spent 5 years on Sertraline, which worked great except for 1 side effect: itchy skin. I finally decided to switch and nothing else seemed to work until I tried Trintellix. I noticed a change within days of starting treatment. Now I'm dealing with two side effects: 1) sleep problems and 2) nausea. I'm starting week 7 of treatment as I write this. The sleep issues aren't so bad because I don't feel tired at all. I'm functioning fairly easily on only 5 hours of sleep per night. The nausea is what is bothering me. I started out with very mild, almost non-existent, nausea for a couple days and then it was gone. On week six, it came back but much stronger. Doesn't matter whether I take it with or without food. I'm hoping this goes away. I have not changed my dosage from the beginning- always been 10 MGRead More Read Less

I took Zoloft for 22 years for MDD/panic disorder. Stopped working when I started going through menopause 3 years ago. I have tried, what seems like, every combo of meds since. I have taken this for 1 week so far. Some nausea, nothing else. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I have had depression a lot of my adult life. I tried many, many of the other major brands with no success whatsoever. Celexa and Lexapro were the only ones that gave very little help. It got to the point that they were not working. I felt hopeless UNTIL I tried Brintellix/Trintellix! For me, the medication started working within days! I thought it was a miracle! FINALLY, something that actually helped. When I first started taking this medication, I was slightly nauseous if I took it on an empty stomach. I've been taking this for 3 years now and can take it with or without food. I take 10mg per day. Read More Read Less

I have only been on this for a week. Very bad dizziness, so I am not even sure if it's working. They want me to try to stay on it longer.

Only been on Meds for 5 days, mentally feel better already. Only issue so far is the dizziness, feel off balance, almost like inner ear infection. Will continue to take and hopefully this will resolve.

Great medication so far. Has helped with depression and just overall feeling much better. Take this medication with food to prevent any nausea. I went from Zoloft to this medication with no issues during the change. For me this med has helped me much better than Zoloft.

I have been dealing with depression for 10 years, and Major Depressive Disorder for the past three years. This medication along with therapy has done wonders for me. I think something many individuals dealing with depression and MDD should keep in mind is that both medication AND therapy are crucial to see a significant change.
