I was on Butrans Transdermal patch (also buprenorphine) but they were sweating off in the TX summer heat so I was switched to BELBUCA. I like it. It's a small square"film" that sticks to the inside of your cheek and dissolves within 30 minutes. I do that every 12 hours. It is simple and this medication works great. I highly recommend it! It is the one and only pain medicine I take. I have DDD i...
Not gonna give even single star. Just wasted my time when I went to pharmacy for pick up.

As others have mentioned, package is difficult to open and the film can be tricky to get it to dissolve properly. Once you get past those hurdles, the effectiveness is good. I have used the Fentanyl and I like this better. No major breakthrough pain like Fentanyl. With the Fentanyl, after 48 hours the effect quickly wears off and by the time 72 hours ace around I would be in major pain. Put another patch on and repeat the process

Been taking this for 5/6 months- I had to stop it because my teeth/gums started hurting so bad. Rotting teeth/gums is not one of the side effects. Did anyone else have this issue?

Expensive, poor ease of use, film wrinkles on cheek loosing effectiveness of drug, film sticks real good to your finger. Poor chronic pain relief. I was unable to use this drug due to headaches and nausea. My pain is out of control without any prescribed pain meds from pain management clinic. OTCs meds do not help. I am miserable with poor quality of life.

I've had peripheral neuropathy of my left leg/foot for going on 18 years now. Several surgeries, every injection and therapy available. I've been "up" the mountain to Fentanyl patches but do NOT like having patches. Along with ER Morphine I'm taking 300mcg belbuca and it seems to help quite a bit. I'm hoping to transition solely to it and give that a shot. Easy to use, I stick it far up my cheek so it imbeds between my cheek and gums...doesn't come off that way. It DOES take a few days to actually see the effects so don't expect it to be fast acting. It's a "marathon" med...Read More Read Less

This drug is not for severe pain. Works only 2-3 hours for myself at 900 mcg. Methadone is much more effective. Takes up to 1 1/2 hours to dissolve. Over 30 year back patient.

CAUTION! I been on this drug all the way up to 900mcg. I got my life back but quess what insurance decides not to pay for it anymore.. Im allergic to all pain meds. This drug is 800.00 plus. I'm having the worse withdrawals ever. The company coupon forget it. It's so sad that I'm being treated worse than animal.

I have chronic paid from having a nerve bundle severed during major surgery for cancer. It will be a lifetime thing. I applaud my doctor for trying something new but this just didn't work for me. I had nausea, headache, dizziness and blurred vision and still a pain level of about a 7 within two hours of taking it. I thought it was a good effort, just isn't for me.

This med is a waste of money. It doesn't stick to cheek well and takes forever to dissolve. I get little help from it/ A brother always said follow the money and that's why the insurance made the switch.

Often will not stick to cheek, even if I swish water around first. Either it won't stick at the beginning (sticking more to my finger) or, even worse, it eventually slupms down onto my teeth. No idea idea is I'm even getting the proper dose, so it's hard to decide if an increase is appropriate. UHC, please give me my Butrans back!!!!!!
