I take this medicine once a day in the morning. I have had no accidents and only minor leakage incidents since starting the medicine. Previously I had accidents frequently when the urge to go was immediate and experienced leakage all the time. I constantly had to wear liners and when I had an immediate urge that wasn't enough. I no longer have to get up several times a night either. Previously I w...

I have taken 2 5mg. each night for a little over a week now. I have Very dry mouth, but my biggest concern is I have pain in my bladder area. Has anyone else experienced this? I am still getting up 3-4 times a night to urinate. But then I know 2 weeks really isn't long enough to see if it will work. Just wondering about the pain thing.

I switched to this drug due to losing my insurance. It doesn't work as well as others of the same type. THEN when I got it from EXPRESS Scripts by mail, the color was off, and it doesn't work AT ALL. Might as well take an aspirin. Wet my pants through my clothing 2X in one day! Hate it!

2 days after I started taking The 5mg tablet 3 times a day I had dry mouth which woke me up choking. Also had heartburn and the tablet either stuck in my mouth or started dissolving before swallowed. Took for 3 weeks, stopped for a week and no dry mouth no heartburn. Called doctor who cut it down to 2 tablets a day. Now have slight dry mouth, heartburn and wake up 5 times a night. It should be pulled and not made available. I am calling doctor and stopping it.

I don't know if the medication helps but over the past two years, a few times I noticed the undissolved pill in my stool so I placed on in a container of water where it's been intact for over a month. Does this medication really do anything?

i have been on this now for 5 weeks. I started off with one pill (5mg) then 2-3 weeks later increased to 2 pills and in a week will have to increase to 3 pills. I am very very sick the first week i increase. I also just lately have been having bad indegestion (acid reflux) I notice a slight difference, leakage has decreased by half but i go more frequently. I will keep trying it for a few more weeks as my DR says it takes about a month to work, but if i keep having this sick feeling i have no choice but to go off it. Read More Read Less

Because of dry mouth and diarrhea, I dropped dosage down to 1 - 10 mg every OTHER day. It worked great, except diarrhea continued. Went off of it and next day had a whopping yeast infection. At the original higher dosage, I got UTI's. Now twice I've stopped the medicine and ended up with yeast infections. I've never had a yeast infection until this medicine. I'm off it for good.

I am a 72 year old male with an enlarged prostrate and having problems with urinary urgency. 5mg three times a day was prescribed for overactive bladder. Initial response was unbelievable dry mouth, would waken up with my lips almost stuck together. Symptoms of overactive bladder did not improve. But after five days I was unable to pass any urine at all and had to be admitted for emergency catheterisation. My advice if you are elderly or have BPH or any prostrate problems do not take this medication or you run the high possibility of really severe and acute urinary retention which will only be resolved by catheterisation. When I first diagnosed with OAB dr. gave Myrbetriq it worked very well for my problem, but my new insurance doesn't covered, so dr. changed to oxybutynin on my fourth day of taking this medication I started having heart palpitation, dizziness and nausea besides the extremely dry mouth I stopped taking it and now I'm on Toviaz hope this can help me if not I don't care how much have to paid to go back to Myrbetriq.

I have been taking this med 5mg twice daily for approx. 15 years for Bladder Spasms, it really works, but I also found it helped another problem of mine - Hyperhidrosis(excessive sweating), it totally solved that embarrassing problem. I am just realizing now, that I have been really tired/sleepy for a long time, I thought it was just part of getting older, but now that I am reading these other post, I am beginning to think it might be the oxybutynin, but I don't think I will give it up, because I have tried several times to see what happens if I skip a day or two and my spasms come back within a day of not taking the meds, as well as, I start to sweat excessively only after skipping one or two doses. Now if I could find another drug that would help with my excessive sweating I might be more inclined to switch, because I may be able to live with the bladder spasms, or at least give it another try.Read More Read Less

I was given this drug while being treated with a ureter stent after a a kidney stone. I really don't feel that it has helped me at all. I am going to the restroom approximately every 20 minutes and I am VERY uncomfortable.
