I've had post-viral syndrome for 9 months and migraines came with it. I am having 4 sinus migraines a day and Topomax and Fioricet just made it worse. Baclofen was a horror as I could not function at all, and I'm already on Effexor, which doesn't help, either. I was hoping with Nurcet being a new drug, that it would be some type of breakthrough. Judging from the other reviews it apparently helps...

Was skeptical but tried it. Does not work as promoted by celebrities. Should have known better, especially when Whoopie started to promote it.

Advil worked better than this. Seems this is one of those drugs that works really well for some folks, or not at all for others.

I tried Nurtec with very high hopes of it being a miracle cure from what I had read in online reviews. Not only did it not work for me but it made my headache so much worse I had to make a trip to the emergency room to get some relief. Never again!

This has worked wonders for me. Btw, why haven’t some of you visited the manufacturer website as there is a discount card available to download on your own and take to the pharmacy. 0 cost. Please also note, any expensive name brand medications websites usually have the discount cards. Emgality injections? O copay. Always check first.

I suffer from chronic migraines and got this new medication recently after I talked to my Neurologist about it. (at my Botox for Migaine appointment). I've only taken one so far, but it seems to work. However, I get frequent, intense migraines, even with the Botox shots, so I'll be interested to see if this keeps me from getting another one in a few hours, as is often the case. Not sure what the "rules" are about taking other pain meds while within the 24 hour window of Nurtec. For those of you that have difficulty with the price (which is outrageous), my neurologist gave me a discount card from Nurtec, that allows me to get a $0 copay!! She said any doctor that has the knowledge base to prescribe Nurtec, should have the cards available. You may have to ask your doctor about it, some practices give those discount cards out like candy, others hoard them, and you must be proactive in asking for one. Read More Read Less

I suffer with up to 20 migraines a month and several times a month I have multiple migraines in a 24hr period. So even though this medication stopped my aura and migraine (it was like a miracle), I had another aura and migraine start about 4 hours after the first. You can only take one Nurtec within 24 hrs. Because of this it would be of almost no use to me on the days I have more than 1 migraine. And even with my insurance those 8 pills would cost me almost $600. That’s just CRAZY!

Have suffered debilitating migraines for 40 years. Have tried so many prescription treatments. Tried nurtec and my blinding headache was gone in under 30 minutes and experienced no side effects (which I typically do). Felt like magic. I almost canâ??t believe it.

I tried this with the onset of migraine. I became very hot within 15 min of taking it and extremely nauseated. It only slightly relieved the headache after 2 hours at which time I switched back to my original medicine.

I have suffered from migraines for yrs. Usually my pain management dr will give me a migraine block with 4 needles in the base of my skull when they get really bad and I can't take it anymore. The same dr started me on this med "Nurtec odt 75mg" with samples. Today being the first day I took one and within 30 minutes I had relief. It's been 3hrs since taking the med and I can feel some pressure starting but not an actual headache or migraine yet. It did cause my blood pressure to increase a great deal though. If you have BP issues, keep an eye on it. I was impressed at how quickly it got rid of the migraine. I took the pill at the first onset of symptoms. According to my pharmacy a full script is about 1k a month though, wowsers!!! (Without ins)Read More Read Less

This medication has been a blessing. It has knocked out my migraine within 30 minutes every time. I've had migraines for 40 years. I hated immitrex side effects. Probably have taken too much ibuprofen in my lifetime. I have taken antidepressants for migraines with no result. I try to avoid triggers but my main trigger is hormonal. Nurtec has been a life saver.

The migraines are hereditary. Sumatriptan work well but with side effects. Sumatriptan causes nose bleeds if taken day after day for 3-4 days so best to not take for multiple days in a row. A recent move resulted in a recent series of tests and visits to neurologists without conclusion. (Quoting the $400 neurologist, no brain tumor...) The 8 pill a month prescription for Nurtec ODT is odd. Not clear how to manage migraines unless the patient hordes the medicine during months of few migraines. Regardless, I concluded Nurtec ODT and sumatriptan periodically work better than one or the other. Without insurance and without the discount Nurtec ODT is expensive. Read More Read Less

I have been suffering from near daily, chronic migraines for a while with nothing bringing total relief. Finally, my doctor recommended Nurtec. The day after getting samples of this from my doctor, I got a migraine. Within thirty minutes, my migraine was completely gone for a full 24 hours.

I have migraine headaches with pain lasting up to 3 days. The pain would get better for a short period of time and then come back worse. Nurtec got rid of the migraine in under 1 hour and it never came back. There were no other adverse side effects either. Based on the other comments it either works really well or not at all, but I definitely think it is worth giving it a try.

Was excited to try this medication, as I have almost daily Chronic Migraines and triptans lead to rebound headaches. The hope my neurologist and I had was that using Nurtec every other day in place of daily triptans would prevent the rebound headaches. Unfortunately, Nurtec does nothing at all for my migraines. I'm honestly heartbroken, but it does at least give me hope that maybe other non-triptan abortive migraine drugs are on the way.

48 year old female chronic migraine sufferer for many years and have tried preventatives (Topimax, Effexor, and amitriptyline) along with Aimovig, which did not work at all and made my migraines worse. None of these have worked. Currently on 900 mg daily gabapentin and Botox. Rizatriptan works best with current meds as an abortive. Recently found out about Nurtec and have taken four times at the onset of a migraine. Works great with no side effects. Highly recommend

Severe migraine, pain level 9-10. Took NURTEC, but it did absolutely NOTHING to remedy or take away the pain. It did make me sweat profusely, made me dizzy, and drowsy. It did not work for me at all. Will not take it again.

I have been fighting severe migraines for almost a decade now. I have experimented with various medications from nerve injections, narcotics, non narcotics, etc. I have undergone numerous tests and never had any real diagnoses or found any real relief. After getting a recommendation to get a consultation for Nurtec I finally followed up. The day after receiving my prescription I woke up with a severe migraine. Within 20 minutes of taking the medication I began to feel relief and within the hour my migraine was completely gone. I would recommend Nurtec to ANYONE who has been through hell trying to find relief from their migraines! All love!!Read More Read Less
