Used New Skin Scar Fade gel (high concentration dimethicone) on two scars over the period of about a year. Worked wonderfully! One scar is nearly invisible now, and the other has faded to a simple white line. I wish this product was still available, as I haven't found anything equivalent since.

in the winter I get very dry skin on my hands. I used Vaseline intensive rescue clinical therapy. it contained dimethicone 1%. VERY effective. they don't make it any more and I can't find out why.

Severe skin itching in winter finally ameliorated with this cream 1 % strength. Superb. So far no side effects.

It took me 5 years to figure out I was allergic to dimethicone. I have eczema and chronic dry skin. 5 years ago I started using Aveeno lotion and loved it but after about 1 year my childhood eczema came back. It wasn't until I started using Panteen shampoo/conditioner and my scalp broke out, that I thought it was my products, and sure enough both have dimethicone. I have avoided the ingredient for a year and while my skin is still dry, no more painful inflamed eczema.
