I have my 4 shots of Vaccines, 3 Modernas and one Pfizer, with the last one being merely a month ago. I began feeling some cold symptoms last Wednesday but the home test kit showed a negative for Covid. Thursday felt worse, with more intense headache and fever. I tested again and got positive. Both Wed and Thu nights, my throat felt itchy and I did not sleep well. Friday morning saw a family do...

Kidney transplant recipient. Experienced body aches, low fever, mild/non-productive cough, and fatigue. Prescribed Paxlovid on testing positive for COVID-19. The morning after the first dose I experience the metallic taste but body aches seemed better. The taste caused loss of appetite and I was nauseated. By the second dose, I began vomiting. I could not hold down anything. I stopped after day t...

I am a 69-year-old male with all covid shots. I had Covid last January and recovered just fine. I got it again this January 2024 and decided to take Paxlovid. The metallic taste in horrible and I am not sure if it helped or not as compared to last year without it.

Was only able to complete 3 of the 4- pill packs. I was one of the 16% who got Paxlovid mouth. After the first packet, I lost my appetite, the metallic, chemical taste in my mouth started after my second packet. Covid symptoms weren’t worsening so I continued with the third packet, sucking on flavored hard candy, etc to tolerate the continued bad taste in my mouth. For the next 20 hours I was vomiting what little I had in me until they were just dry heaves.

My doctor prescribed paxlovid for me after I was diagnosed with covid. I took it for the first time last night. The bitter taste in my mouth was so overwhelming, it made me nauseous. And then my head felt weird and I felt dizzy with a horrible headache. But the worst part is the taste of the medicine. With my congestion, all I could taste was this horrible bitterness draining down my throat the entire night. Then I felt wired, and was up half the night. I am so regretting ever taking one dose of this horrible medicine. I will take my chances with covid, rather than ever take paxlovid again!Read More Read Less

Very good result only a little dizzy after last day. May have had nothing to do with Paxlovid.

I started taking the Paxlovid yesterday I did not see much difference as some people related. I am feeling chest pain, cough, body pain, that one is a little better, and another symptoms. It tastes bitter so I have drinking water to take out the taste, but it is bad. I hope the medication help me to be 100% soon.

I am vaxed and have had covid 2x. 55 year old petite female. This is my 3rd. I have taken 2 doses and feel like I am dying. I was feeling better but had recovered from myocarditis after the second covid so my Dr prescribed. Started on day 4 All the doses they are giving us are designed for American weight men. I cannot wait until this is out of my system. At $1400 no wonder the government is extending the expiration date (as it did on mime) and insurance companies are eager to sell. This is poison.Read More Read Less

I was started on Paxlovid because I had COVID- but I don't think I should have started it at all, because I had all my symptoms managed very well and taking Paxlovid only brought with it worse symptoms with no extra relief. Since starting Paxlovid I lost my sense of smell and gained a very nasty, bitter flavor when eating. I've had headaches and nausea- which nausea is the one symptom I cannot live with. That plus diarrhea makes me not see the point in continuing further. If it actually helped prevent long covid I might continue to take it, but it doesn't so again- it seems completely pointless to take when I have every one of my symptoms managed better without it. I started the dreadful bitter taste in my mouth - with me all the time. Awful, especially at night. I read that zinc helps. Had some echinacea/zinc/garlic tablets for immunity boosting, so took 1 morning and night with the Paxlovid. It really helped! The bad taste almost went and I happily finished the Paxlovid course. My worst Covid symptoms disappeared after 6 days leaving me just the brain fog to resolve.

I am immunocompromised with MS, Sjogrens and asthma. I have had 2 Covid vaccines and one prior Covid infection. I am a nurse and was accidentally exposed to Covid by a patient who I was not informed was sick with Covid symptoms. 3 days later I started getting a sore throat, congestion. Day 4 tested positive for Covid. My case was mild with only mild congestion and a headache on day 4. No fever, no coughing, no body aches etc. My doctor prescribed Paxlovid because of my immunocompromised status. Day one no problem except my mouth tasted like someone sprayed it with Lysol. Day 2 I only got through my morning dose and later that evening I started having severe stomach cramps. I took a prescription I have at home for stomach cramps and an anti nausea prescription but a few hours later nothing was working and I was having severe vomiting, stomach cramps and diarrhea. I actually felt worse on this med then I did off of it. I could deal with the bad taste in my mouth but not the severe stomach pain, diarrhea, vomiting and cramps. My parents both took Paxlovid with no issues. If it helps you great, but for me I would only take it again if I had a severe life threatening need. It might have helped me the first time I had Covid as I had low oxygen levels and couldn't breathe. This time I just feel like it's a mild head cold so I wouldn't recommend it if you don't need it. So had back to back sinus infections (1st one on Thanksgiving 2023) and then I started with another one5 days before Christmas 2023. I had some spare Amoxliccilan, cause I did not think COVID 19 at first, but then I got the no taste or smell and feeling really crappy. I tested myself Christmas day, and came up positive 2x. Tuesday, I went to clinic and got prescribed Paxlovid...within a day (after taking a morning and night regiment) I felt a lot better. Definitely worth it. I had bad flu in 2008, and with COVID 19 being worse, I did not want to go through a bad experience because of stupidity. Glad to know it works and besides the metal mouth - feeling alot better after short time taking it Read More Read Less

Tested positive Tues, took pills Wed at 10am. Started feeling better Thurs. Tested negative Friday. I had the terrible metallic taste. No other bad side effects. I think it's totally worth it. I get a blood test yearly and my liver & kidneys are in good condition. I recommend. I've never been vaccinated for covid.

Takes a few days to really feel better. Causes the worst metallic taste in your mouth at all times. Has given me the worst diarrhea, I'm in tears. I can't stand this and I refuse to take my last set of pills. I want the side effects GONE!

This medication worked miracles for me!! Woke up Day 1 with a sore throat, but tested negative. Day 2, woke up feeling even worse and then my covid test came back positive this time. I started taking Paxlovid the night of day 2 when I felt at my worst (sore throat, cough, sinus congestion, malaise, fever). Day 3, in the morning I woke up still feeling really bad. However, already by the nighttime of day 3, I noticed a releif in my bodyaches and fever. Day 5, I woke up feeling a DAY AND NIGHT difference! I felt sooo much better! Now on Day 5, I feel 100% better, with all of my energy back and symptom free! This medication worked extremely well for me and I am so grateful for it!Read More Read Less

I tested positive after very quickly realizing I was coming down with something. Got my first dose in me fast and in just a few days I feel like a million bucks. I felt AWFUL the second day when my symptoms hit their worst and after that, it was a sharp decrease in symptoms. Yeah, the metallic taste is gross, but chugging diluted BodyArmorWater and crackers helped a ton.

Avoiding Rapaflo was problematic and uncomfortable. My symptoms didn’t fully respond until late on the fourth day.

Tested positive for Covid first time one year ago . Doctor prescribed Z-pack and in 2 days felt great , no side effects . Worked like a miracle for my Covid . Fast track to Dec 17,2023 tested positive for Covid . Paxlovid prescribed by doctor this time . He said Z-Pack is not recommended anymore ???? ( wonder why Pfeizer ?) Anyway I start Paxlovid first dose at night , no problem but didn’t sleep well at all . Morning day 2 next dose , after 1 hr all hell broke loose , dizzy , room spinning non stop , nausea , vomiting , diarrhea, metallic bitter terrible taste in mouth . Ready to go to ER then I changed mind because here the hospitals mainly prescribe Paxlovid . I decided to go cold turkey and fight through Covid symptoms on my own . Bottom line , Paxlovid is the death pill to equal the Covid vax in my opinion . Terrible terrible medication . Stay away .!!Read More Read Less

The diarrhea kicked in on day three after taking the medicine. The metal taste was bad but tolerable, it didn't last all day long. But overall feeling weird on Paxlovid. My upper torso feels tight and weird, having weird dreams, light headed, and stomach pains. An hour or so before next dose I start to feel better so I believe it is the drug. Can't wait to be done with this medicine.

Miracle drug for sure! 2nd time taking it and each time by day 2 or 3, im feeling better. The metallic taste and upset stomach outweight the aches, pains, and horrible death feeling of covid. Its only 5 days worth...Be stronger people!

Took my first dose last night. When I woke up (3 hours later) I felt that my Covid symptoms were suppressed. However now I have these weird side effects from this drug. My eyeballs are super sore, my right eye is pink eye red, with a bunch of eye boogers. It straight up feels like my right eye ball is gonna pop out of my head. My neck is sore, it hurts to walk. I feel super weak, extremely tired yet can’t fall asleep, bad headache, mood swings, and just generally unwell. I felt better raw dogging Covid then taking this, so after a single 300/100mg dose, I’m discontinuing use. I have never had a bad reaction to any medication, I don’t take any prescriptions, and other then possible asthma, I’m a healthy individual. I would highly advise staying away from this drug unless you are dealthy sick from Covid. This has been awful and I’m just hoping it comes out of my system asap. Wishing I could go back in time and never take this. Just bewareRead More Read Less
