I have my 4 shots of Vaccines, 3 Modernas and one Pfizer, with the last one being merely a month ago. I began feeling some cold symptoms last Wednesday but the home test kit showed a negative for Covid. Thursday felt worse, with more intense headache and fever. I tested again and got positive. Both Wed and Thu nights, my throat felt itchy and I did not sleep well. Friday morning saw a family do...

Kidney transplant recipient. Experienced body aches, low fever, mild/non-productive cough, and fatigue. Prescribed Paxlovid on testing positive for COVID-19. The morning after the first dose I experience the metallic taste but body aches seemed better. The taste caused loss of appetite and I was nauseated. By the second dose, I began vomiting. I could not hold down anything. I stopped after day t...

I started taking it on the second day of symptoms, and by the following day I was more or less fine. It's hard to say whether it was the pills that did it since I'm young and had three doses of the vaccine (I only took the antivirals because I have a reactive airway and a history of lung problems). The only side effect, which others noted, is a strong chemical taste in my mouth. It's impossible to avoid, even if the pills never touch your tongue, you'll have this tase in your mouth for a few hours after taking the pills. Read More Read Less

Having tested positive for covid my local hospital doctor recommended antiviral 5 day course of paxlovid. I have a health conditions so this is why this was recommended. I started to feel better on day 2 of taking the tablets., by day 5 I was completely well again & covid negative . Yes it does leave a bitter after taste but I rather that then end up in hospital or worse still .. it's a small price to pay in my own personal experience I would highly recommend. I took them after eating to avoid stomach issues and I was fine . Read More Read Less

I am vaccinated and boosted, and just got COVID-19 for the second time. I have asthma, hypertension and obesity, so I qualified. I started the meds on the evening of day three, with a couple of hours my cough, congestion and fever were reduced Ed, and I was able to sleep through the nigh I have completed 2 of 5 days of the medication and feel much better. Ever dose gives me an improvement.

My husband and I recently tested positive for Covid. We were both vaccinated, but had not had the booster. We both suffer from asthma, and have other health issues. My husband was given an antibiotic to help prevent bacterial pneumonia. After doing research, I asked our doctor for an RX for Paxlovid. He agreed and gave me an RX for it, as I was having a lot of congestion and breathing problems. Within a short time of taking my first dose, I could already feel a difference. My breathing problems lessened, as did the congestion in my sinuses and chest. The only side effects I noticed was a taste disturbance and mild, upset stomach. Paxlovid was a game changer for me! I really believe it kept me from possibly being hospitalized. After finishing my RX, I am feeling much better, while my husband still has a terrible cough. I sure wish he had gotten an RX for Paxlovid! Read More Read Less

Started taking Paxlovid on day 3 for Covid. Make sure you eat before taking the doses because if not you will feel nauseous. Also leaves a bad taste in you mouth the whole time you take it. But after taking it on day 5 I feel completely fine. So I believe it works well against Covid.

I took my first dose on the evening of third day of symptoms. By the next morning, 80% of my symptoms were gone. Yes, I did have to be careful and take it with food on a full stomach. Once I figured the best way to prevent stomach issues, I was able to complete the full 5 day regime. It also left a funny taste in my mouth that has disappeared once I finished the medication. I told my family I felt I had been cured after a couple days of treatment! One week later, my symptoms are gone

They game it to me for covid .. I started feeling better as soon as I started taking it on day 5 of symptoms.. it make me nauseous an have a pill taste in my mouth .. I wasn't sure if the dry mouth was from paxlovid or covid... Only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because I was still sick after finishing my 5 days but way better then I was before using paxlovid
