The medication is really bad. I only took it for 4 days and had to stop it right away. I had headaches, sleepiness, fatigue, nausea and vomiting. Please be careful this this medication.

I’ve had issues sleeping my whole life. Quiviviq 50’changed that. My dr explained that you have to take it every night and have good sleep habits because it won’t knock you out like Ambien. I slept like a baby and was totally awake the next morning.

I take it 30 minutes before turning off my lights. I've been reading up until then. I can lay awake another hour or more before it seems to start working. 3 hours after taking it..almost always 3 hours later I'm awake needing to use the bathroom. I haven't needed to use the bathroom in the middle of the night up until taking this med. Once back in bed I occasionally fall back asleep, more often I'm up for the rest of the night. I'm getting 2-4 hours sleep on average. Even though my CPAP shows I've worn it for more hours, it's because of how long it takes me to fall asleep and how long I've worn it after climbing back to bed after the bathroom before giving up to read again. It's been 3 weeks now of this and I'm less than unimpressed.Read More Read Less

The first night I took Quviviq, I experienced drowsiness that night, but I was still unable to sleep. I thought to myself, “What a lousy medication.” It wasn’t until I read that I had to continue taking the medication for longer periods to experience the benefits of Quviviq. I am glad that I decided to continue taking the medication. Now two weeks into it, I believe that Quviviq has saved my life. Even though I wake up groggy in the morning from the effects, it is still a much more welcomed effect than insomnia. Give this medication, it’s time to work as it keeps building in your system and will do the job. The best thing is that it’s also not habit-forming. It still teaches your body that nighttime is for sleep. I believe that once my rhythm gets back to normal, I will be free from taking the medication. I hope that this helps. Thank you Quviviq for giving me life back.Read More Read Less

If I could give zero stars I would. I thought yay something better than ambien and less habit forming. I mainly have trouble falling asleep but the past year also trouble staying asleep. I work in the medical field so I have some knowledge of how meds work. Didn't read much on this. Wanted to be surprised. My gosh, it's like all that's in the pill is water. I read where some people are prescribed 50mg. I know you're not supposed to do it but I took 2 since I was given 25mg. Still nothing. Staying awake all night again tonight. This is my second night in a row. I wanted to be sure and try it several times to make sure it wasn't something to do with me eating too close to bed or something. If anything, this has turned my brain on more. I'm so sad. And it cost so much! Nothing hypnotic about itRead More Read Less

This drug has changed my life. I've had chronic severe insomnia for over 15 years (0-2 hours a night in bad patches). All other drugs I've taken to promote 'drowsiness' no nothing to override my feeling of wakefulness and have horrible side effects the next day with little effect on how much a sleep. Quviviqs MOA is to inhibit wakefulness. After a couple of weeks my sleep cycle is completely normal with good quality sleep (7 hours) and absolutely no side effects the next day. I can't recommend it enough, I've tried lots of non/pharmaceutical therapies and I have never experienced anything as effective as Quviviq.Read More Read Less

It worked completely opposite of what a sleep med should do. Took one pill, started going in and out of sleep then had evil nightmares and night terrors. I thought I was yelling to my wife to "help me" but I must have been dreaming I was yelling. The rest of the night was restless sleep in and out of sleep every hour. Felt so terrible the next morning, groggy with a terrible headache, almost had to go home sick. I wondered what was wrong with me that this drug had such negative effects. How could I have nightmares from this? I'm so shocked at the result I had compared to the TV commercials. I wanted so bad for this to work and get off Ambien, which gives me 2-4 hours of sleep. I'm so disappointed and still wondering what went wrong with this drug for me. It doesn't make sense.Read More Read Less

This over priced drug has not benefited me anymore than Ambien did. I wake up multiple times in the middle of the night. Some days I’m sleeping maybe only 3 hours a night. Don’t waste your money.

MD prescribed Quviviq 25 mg to replace Ambian. Took it for four nights with no effect-no sleep. Paid $267.00 for a worthless med.

this medication has NO effect on my ability to sleep. I cannot fall asleep at all, I had higher expectations especially for the cost. I have had better results from other medications but by far this one is the worst, with headaches and general anxiety

Yes, I fell asleep quickly but was up at 3:00am and was not able to fall back asleep. By 6:00am, I was exhausted. Needed a nap in the pm.
Give me my Ambian back!

Love this medication for putting me to sleep. I do which however that it had a bit of “the twilight” effects on my body and mind that my prior medication, zolpidem, had. The sleep I achieve each time taking this medication is very deep. I love it.

Upon swallowing had massive migraine, then screaming noise in brain. It’s been 4 days, noise in brain (high pitch frequency) is still screaming & worse when laying down. Causing anxiety. Feels like brain damage. And caused insomnia, not sleep.

I have had insomnia off and on most of my life. Was switched to this after Ambien quit working. Took this for 5 nights and wont ever again. I felt almost lethargic the entire next days after using and the last time I took it I felt like crying all day long. Took forever to get me to sleep too. If you have even mild depression or anxiety, beware.
