Had a root canal that became infected & wouldn't drain. Needed a lance & drain installed in upper gum, and was put on this RX. It worked well though gave me a flu type feeling.

Been on this 4 days; congestion is better but medicine has made me sick. Constant diarrhea and some vomiting and stomachache; feel light-headed and like I've had the flu or something. Do not recommend it for older adults as I think the side effects are worse. Very strong drug - was not aware of eating yogurt to help with the stomach problems so will try it. Hope I never have to take it again.

Presented at Clinic with mildly elevated blood pressure, pulse and fever of 100.2, with c/o (A)bronchial wheezing and irritation and (B)3+ dependent edema of Rt. leg, with pain, redness(14cm) and a visible scratch distally. Bacteria of unknow origin most likely entered the skin (scratch) causing CELLULITIS, and showing initial signs of BRONCHITIS. Drug worked well, HOWEVER EXTREME GUM TENDERNESS AND PAIN DEVELOPED ALONG WITH THRUSH, REALIZED AFTER ONLY THIRD DOSING. Latter treated with direct application of Yoplait Yogurt, which appeared to effectively treat the thrush. Some perineal itching was also realized, and a topical antifungal (tolnoftate) was used for three weeks X2 daily, and was also effective. Read More Read Less

Large carbuncle on neck (bite or ingrown hair)? Reduced size (about size of a quarter with red radiating outward)and without a'head' to fitting under a small bandage and eliminated inflamed outer radius. Maintained a Rx at home for just such an contingency, still to see doctor for lancing. Excellent Rx.

Its the third day I have been on this pill and it seems to be doing nothing. I still get fevers everyday and my cough has seemed to worsen. i have been outside everyday but that is for marching band, the hours outside are slightly crazy. I am wondering if I even have an URI and I cant wait to get back to the doctors office.

5 year old with recurring styes, 1st on upper lid by nose; 1 week later, 2nd on lower lid by nose; 1 1/2 weeks later, 3rd on lower lid in middle but corner of eye seeping pus and under eye red & swollen almost to cheed bone. 1st & 2nd styes treated with warm compresses & about 3rd day styes opened and seeped, then healed. Made appointment with pediatrician right away when 3rd stye/infection appeared. Child has hard time taking medicine (amox clav/pot 600) and I noticed that when or if she cries before taking it, red blotches appear on her forehead down to her nose and a total redness appears around her eyes. This goes away a few minutes after she stops crying - we just never noticed it before and I was wondering if it has to do with the medicine. She has taken amoxicillin (the pink colored one) and doesn't cry about taking it, and I never noticed these blotches before. Also, I checked her chest/stomach/arms when blotches appeared and there were no blotches in those areas. She takes medicine 2x/day and it was after approximately the 3rd day that I noticed the blotching (only when she cried). I said I was only somewhat satisfied because I thought there might be another medicine to use that would not taste as bad, but doctor at recheck felt that we should not change medicine since it seemed like it was working so well. I just want to know if anyone else has noted something like this. Read More Read Less

I have had strep throat for 4 days and could hardly swallow. On my second day of treatment and I can finally sleep without being woken in pain from swallowing. Taking it with yogurt to hopefully ward off any yeast infections. YUCK!

I was sick before using this medication only sinuses. After using medication I have had troubles breathing, congested chest, etc. I would have been better off not using medicine.

The doctor said it would take 24-36 hours to start feeling better. I felt 100% WORSE the next day. Antibiotics give me yeast infections so I took some Diflocan withing the first three days. The antibiotics were so strong that it didn't clear it up, even with yogurt. Sucks for my husband. I'd rather take a Z-Pack.

This drug caused my son to have abdominal pain. The swelling in his lymph nodes reduced after two days, but it sounds like I better buy some yogurt before he gets a yeast infection.
