I have been on this birth control for about 1 week, and so far, i am always nauseated, sometimes dizzy and i have mood swings...all of which i didnt have until i started the birth control. Im pretty sure Ill be switching to something else.

This medications did not work for me. I had a headache, nausea and blurred vision/floaters. I found that being very hydrated helped the side effects.

Be ready to gain weight. 16 lbs for me... I hit the gym 5 to 6 days a week and even count calories, no more than 1400 a day. I hate it..

I have been on nortrel for 5 years. I can't complain, it def has made my periods lighter and shorter. I haven't had any "oops" moments. Id recommend to anyone

started this regiment about 2 months ago. Presently no side effects. No period either, and not pregnant. However this was a switch from the Depo shot and had only 1 period prior to starting the pill.

I have been taking this pill for 7 months now. The last two months my period has been much lighter and lasts 2 or 3 days. My breasts also get tender throughout the month, not all the time though. But hey these are hormones we are dealing with!!! And I cannot complain about a shorter period, I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative (which it has been 5 months since ive been sexually active so I figured it would because I have gotten my period every month, but it recently got shorter and lighter). I also have noticed the last couple weeks my face is starting to break out (I dont have acne normally) and my hair needs to be washed more often, but hey I can deal with all of that.Read More Read Less

after trying several birth controls I was put on this particular pill. I have been on it for a yr now and I love it! I have a shorter, lighter period and no cramping at all. I highly recommend it.

I was recently on Yaz which I loved, but they wanted to switch it up. Now I have heavy break through bleeding and acne which I have never had, cramps all the time, and breast tenderness which I never had. I will never recommend this medication. Yaz is the best one

have been taking it for four years. no problems. no cramps, no spotting, no bloating. I usually have a four day period. Very light. I would recommend it.

This pill is AWFUL. I do not have a sensitive stomach but this pill made me very sick to my stomach. I do not reccommend!

I love it! I have been using this for about 4 months now; and my periods are lighter and shorter. They have been between 1-2 days. I havent experienced any weight gain. Which im so happy about. So far so good!

I used this drug in the past and had spotting between periods, so I stopped using it. I recently started using this product again, but use it for 3 months straight upon my dr.s approval, but I havent gotten my period yet. Pregnancy test was negative, and upon research on the web says that this is a side effect of this medication. Overall this has been a good pill.

I have only been taking Nortrel for about 4 months and already i have heavy bleeding between periods, and painful cramping during "spotting" and my period. i would not recommend this to anyone

I'm taking this drug for acne and birth control. Compared to others I have used it is a little different. It doesn't control acne as well as other birth controls like Apri but I have noticed it is very accurate if you take the drug right. If I miss 2 pills or more I will spot (other pills you can miss about 3) and I start inevidebly on the 2nd day EVERY time after the end of my pack. I had to end up going to the dermatologist for the acne which was frustrating since the last birthcontrol was better at acne (stopped taking Apri d/t breakthrough bleeding ALL THE TIME)Read More Read Less

I HAVENT EXPERIENCED ANY BAD SIDE EFFECTS FROM THIS BC BUT I DO HAVE ONE QUESTION..HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED HAVING A YEAST INFECTION WHILE ON THIS BC?

I've been using this for about 2 years now, and it's been great. My periods are much lighter, I hardly get any cramps, my acne cleared up, and the problems I had with ovarian cysts are all gone. This has worked great for me.

the primary purpose of contraception seems to have served well so far, but my face is a mess with the uncontrollable outburst of acne!

It sometimes makes me feel nauseated. Usually during the first week.

I have been taking this birth control for over a year and my periods have never been regular, although they are a lot lighter and I hardly ever get cramps.

I've had a good experience so far (been on for 4 months). Nothing has changed for me except I don't get bloated before my period anymore. Can't really complain!
