I was prescribed this diflucan to take 1 a day for 3 days. Today is day 2 and itching has begun to clear up. Also- advice for those with recurring yeast infections or those who get them every time an antibiotic is taken: TAKE A PROBIOTIC DAILY This will help prevent yeast infections & can safely be taken daily without any drug interactions. The one I've used that works best for me is "Dr Ohhira'...

Had to take amoxycilin after surgery, and I got a horrible yeast infection. Went to my gyno afterwards, and she said that particular antibiotic is known to cause yeast infections. So she prescribed 2 doses of Diflucan. First dose made me nauseous, but I thought, "hey, what's a little nausea if it clears this up." Gave me a little relief. Took the second dose 4 days later, and while there was no n...

I get recurrent thrush infections because of long-term corticosteroid use for autoimmune diaseases included lupus and psoriatic arthritis. Have ended up with adrenal insufficiency as a result, so must take steroid. Plus I use an inhaler for asthma. So I'm wide open to infection tho I try hard to keep things clean. Diflucan always solves the problem in a week or so.

Took the drug for 4 weeks with only slight improvement. I have a fungal infection of the blood and it making red bumps on my lefs and back. They don't hurt, itch or burn , they are just unsiightly. The medicine did reduce some of the bumps in size but most are still very visible.

I had a horrible reaction to this medication. Rashes broke out on hands and back. Fingers swelled and split. Severe pain.

This is wonderful. It was fast and effective. No more messy creams every day for a week. A simple pill and the problem was gone.

I loved that I could just take a pill instead of messy vaginal treatments for my yeast infection. However, I only got some relief from my infection and ended up having to get the messy treatment anyway. Wish it had worked but didn't.

It made my symptoms go away rapidly, however, I did experience mild stomach discomfort about three hours after taking it.

My infection was so severe because I was not examined or diagnosed properly. I have had to take a weeks worth of the 150mg to cure my infection. It's amazing how even 12 hours after the first pill, symptoms start to lessen.

I am so allergic to the OTC meds this literally saved me! I took it one day and the following day noticed amazingly that my symptoms were a LOT less severe. by the second day after i was 100% better, and this after using OTC for over a week b4 i realized i was allergic. so my condition was a lot worse than someone using this at the first sign of symptoms. All this with just ONE pill and never needed the 2nd dose the Dr said i could have if needed.150mg pill worked wonders.
