It's taken about 6 months to get my dosage right. I now take 80mg. 3 times a day and the swelling in my ankles and legs is gone. I lost a total of 50 pounds. My B.P. is down to 170/95 from 200/105 and now the doc is starting me on other BP meds for that.

My experience has been VERY positive with the exception of the frequent restroom visits, which can be easily dealt with by taking the drug early in the day. The frequent trips to the restroom are FAR OUT WEIGHED by what this drug can do for you! You can always wear a Depends (or similar product (which I have)) if you are worried about the possibility of an "accident" while out and about, although this is much more of an insurance policy than anything else. I have been taking this drug for about a year and will continue to do so until I hear otherwise from my doctor. The weight loss is an added side benefit :) Read More Read Less

works well to relieve pressure within a couple of hours. In combination with a low-carb vegetarian diet it has helped a lot and I've lost 15% of body weight.

My 63 yr old father has been using this med for well over a year and to no avail. His legs and feet have gotten worse. To the point where they are seeping fluid. Many test have been run and his kidneys are not a problem. His feet look like they are about to burst open. This is a total waste of time.

I have had chronic back pain my entire life. Starting in 2008 I have had 4 spinal fusion surgeries and one neurostimulator implant plus a heart attack. Ever since my heart attack if I stay up on my feet for over 4 hours my legs and feet hurt very bad and I have had this pain for three years so I finally told my cardiologist and he gave me this medicine. So whenever I swell up I take it. If I am in bed with my eyes closed I will go to sleep for 5 hours. However, I will wake up every hour to urinate. Yesterday I took a pill and my son came in with a problem so It took me an hour to help him and I never went to sleep so I urinated every 10 minutes. So I would recommend to only take it when you can sleep. It gets rid of my swelling and takes care of the pain. It does its job great with zero side effects.Read More Read Less

The pill worked for removing the fluid in my ankles. The problem I had was that my hands started hurting. Then my thumb on my right hand started clicking and snapping. Then the ring finger on my left hand did the same thing. Some days it was other fingers. They took x-rays and the doctor said it was arthritis. I thought other wise. Had no problem before Lasix with my hands.I stopped the lasix on my own for three weeks and my fingers were fine .Then took one every other day and my fingers started up again. I stopped and my fingers are find now. I think the lasix took all the fluid out of my joints in my fingers. I'm going to call the doctor to see about some other kind of fluid pill. I have only been using this medicine for a few days, but the visible fluid is gone from my legs and feet. Hands are still swollen some but not as bad. However, I can barely see straight. Everything is doubled and blurry. I'm exhausted, dizzy, and vomitting. Also, I'm starting to have muscle spasms in my arms and back. I'm not sure if it's even worth it. I think I'd rather deal with the fluid in my legs. I can barely function after starting this medicine. I will be calling my doctor soon.Read More Read Less
