I have had lupus for over 25 yrs . Have dealt with Chronic kidney failure for 15. Tried lg. dosages of prednisone and IV cytoxin for over 2 yrs. Many anti-inflammatory drugs. Then Cell-Cept. I would be on dialysis & transplant list had this drug not been used. It has stabilized my creatinine level at around 2. I take 2000 mg. daily. I have less joint pain now and function better than 2...

CELPCEPT IS THE THIRD LEG OF THE STOOL. MY PREVIOUS TRANSPLANT CELCEPT WAS NOT USED YET. I LOST MY FIRST GRAPH WITHIN 10 YEARS. LONG TERM SMOLDERING REJECTION OVER SEVERAL YEARS. CURRENT GRAPH OVER 10 YEARS AND NO SIGN OF REJECTION. EXCELLENT RESULTS AND I FEEL CELCEPT HAS BEEN A SIGNIFICANT DRUG FOR MAINTAINING THIS KIDNEY.

CellCept has given me my life back. My SLE (Lupus) had stop responding to methotrexate after 7 seven years. Although, I have been on this drug for 3 months, my white blood count is going up and C3 and C4 are starting to go up as well. I do get headaches but nothing compare to what I had been going through before. A word of caution....When making changes from chemotherapy...stay away from individuals who are sick.. I ended up with a prolapsed lung, and bad infection due to being on two chemotherapy and steroids...I only hope the drug continues to work for me. I currently take 1000 mg bid. Read More Read Less

My 45 year old husband was given CellCept in May 2008 to help his kidney function improve following a 2005 bone marrow transplant for Leukemia. The CellCept caused a rare but fatal brain virus called PML of which we received no warning. My husband lost his sight, all bodily functions, laid in a hospital bed from July 29, 2008 until he died in my arms on September 20, 2008. His doctor described PML as having a slow stroke everyday.

Been taking 2000mg a day for over a month now. Due to being an immunopsuppressant, I developement pnuemonia. I have no appetite, hair loss, naseaua. Can't really tell if the drug is working to stop the disease, only time will tell. But if this is how I will feel the entire time on Cellcept, I'm thinking of telling my doctor no more!

I have severe recurring dyshidrotic eczema. Have tried everything except uv treatments. I've been taking Cellcept for a month so far. Told I won't see any changes for 3 months and will need to take it for 15 months. Taking 2000 mg. daily. Not happy about nausea or feeling tired. Think I may be experiencing some hair loss in addition to normal daily hair loss and I also feel depressed even though I am on Celexa for that. I am also starting to get bad headaches when I rarely ever got headaches before. I've also went in to the office for corticosteroid shots when blisters become too painful and won't clear up, which causes weight gain but clears it up after about 10 days for maybe 2 days and then the next round of blisters starts up. I really hope the cellcept works. If anyone else has used it for eczema with success, please let me know! Read More Read Less
