I have only been taking Flomax for 2 days. I am a female - 55 years old - being treated for a kidney stone. I was terrified to use Flomax until the doctor had a stern talk with me. So far I haven't noticed ANYTHING, however, it's only been two days..........I was wondering how long it takes for the tube to RELAX so the stone can pass............I do have faith that this medication will help.......I hope so!

Now 53, I was diagnosed with chronic Prostatitis at age 26 and have suffered from recurring prostate infections requiring frequent treatment, especially during the "cold season" (when I would get a common cold it always resulted in Prostatitus) and resulted in treatment via full spectrum antibiotics in the tetracycline family. I have been on Flomax .4 since the FDA approved it and have never had another prostate infection since. It does reduce and sometime eliminate ejaculation and often reduces sexual drive and full erection but there is a pill for everything, Viagra does the trick for me when needed. My urologist instructed me to take it every other day but sometimes the lack of flow due to enlargement requires a daily dose. seem to get VERY LOOSE stool!otherwise seems to work? not sure if its worth it?use to go once a week now it 3 times a day!And running for it!

loss of ejaculate- presented as extremely rare side effect, guess i'l have to find another hobby!

Have taken Flomax for about 5-6 years.Initially Flomax was effective in regulating urine flow and reducing frequency of urination. However it has become less and less effective in last six months. Now seems to be almost completely ineffective

Have been on it since late Sept. with only a 2 week of not taking it. Am still getting up 3-4 times nightly. Also taking Proscar and under a urologist's care.

My urinary flow has improved a little. Less frequency. However, within the first day of taking the drug, my ejaculation produces zero semen. This is very discouraging and I immediatley got off the drug. The side effect is not permanent.

Within days, the drug improved urine flow ... reducing the number of trips to the restroom at night from 4 or 5 to one. After a year, the dosage had to be doubled to produce the same results. In the past 2-3 years, I have not had to increase my use of this drug. It upsets my stomach unless taken with food.

after one week, flow was much better. took it for 2 months then stopped and symptoms returned in 3 days, so went back on it again.

On for 6+ years, med stopped being effective, and no seamen. Off for 1 week and symptons improved and the seamen was back to normal after 3 weeks.

deceased sexual urge. Thats tolerable, but a lack of sperm is totally unacceptable. Stopped taking it and returned to normal. The good effects lasted for a while after stopping.

Well, drug seemed to clear up unpleasant sensations and pain associated with my Prostatitis, but when I had sex last night I achieved an erection and orgasm, but was kind of freaked out when I produced no semen at all. Does semen production come back once you are off Flomax? I sure hope so, I plan to have kids someday. I didn't realize this side effect when I started taking it, but the symptoms of enlarged prostate were so maddening, all I could think of was some relief and took it without much research.Read More Read Less

my body has completely stop creating semen i am 27 yrs. old

40 year old female, been prescribed for kidney stones. Can't tell much difference in flow, but side effects are nervousness and fast pounding heartbeat.

I was given this for helping pass a kidney stone. I urinated very strong streams but semen production was nil. I was able to achieve orgasm though.

I'm using this for incontinence. Flomax has really helped with this problem. I don't have the urgency to go every 3 hours and I sleep all night.

Sex with almost no orgasm. After 10 days on it I'm ready to quit.

VERY LITTLE SENSATION WITH SEXUAL ENDINGS. HOPE IT GETS BETTER. TAKE 2 PILLS A DAY; MUCH LESS SEMEN.
