I experienced severe edema and fluid leakage from my lower legs. My skin was breaking down and my calves were covered in blisters and ulcers. At hospital I was given Lasix as an IV along with antibiotics. My script was for a 20mg dose of furosemide once daily. The results were unbelievable! This is the first time using this brand. I have used a different brand before that just a half pill would work immediately. This has not done a thing.

When I started this treatment, I was swollen so much my shoes wouldn't go on. I went back to my doctor after 1 month with little change. She put me on a higher dosage and it has worked great. I do swell a bit at night if I've been on my feet a lot. My one complaint is I have to pee every hour or so during the first 6 hours after taking it.

Severe leg muscle cramps - especially at night. I stopped taking med and in 24 hrs I feel a difference in my muscles being more relaxed. No more cramps.

When I first took it, I wanted to go to a restroom every 10 minutes. Urges last about 3-4 hours, so I don't take it if I have to travel or be someplace out of reach of a restroom for long periods. My legs were cramping for awhile, but more often if I elevated my legs at night. I started using a salt substitute because it contains potassium, which helped with leg cramps. Medication not effective at all. Even taking two 40mg pills does not increase urination. I have some side effects, (extreme weakness, dizziness) with this medication.
