Since taking this medication I have had severe diarrhea (explosive diarrhea) if I eat normal quantities of fruits and vegetables, especially tomatoes. I've had numbness and tingling in my hands and tingling in my feet, itching, crawling skin feeling, backache, weight gain, and repeated bouts of gout. I never had problems with any of these things before taking this medication. I've been on it fo...

I am NID diabetic on Diabinese and the following meds for HBP: HCTZ, Procradia, Enalapril and today Carvedilol 12.6 replaced Clonidine since it was ineffective. My BP was sort of normal this AM when first tablet was taken now after taking second one at 5:30 tonight, my BP has gone as h igh as 160/80 with pulse up to 92. This scares me and I plan another visit in the AM to my doctor to get off of this one. He did say this new med would rise the BP and then it would settle down. Just do not care for this Medication and definitely do not recommend it.Read More Read Less

I took it once. It made me very sleepy and slow at first, then angry and violent. I don't know if this drug would help HBP, but I'll never take it again.

I was given Carvedilol to lower B.P., taken 2x daily. It did lower my B.P. but as the weeks went by, I started to cough and my lungs became very congested. I did have prior mild asthma condition which was exasberated by Cardevilol, leaving me extremely short of breath, wheezing, coughing spasms, nasal congestion. Doctor put me on Albuterol and Flovent inhalers, and immediately took me off Cardevilol.

40y old male. 2 massive heart attacks, ejection fraction 18%. I feel a lot of angina, consistant night sweating, fatigue after being awake 3-4 hours, constant urination, can't sleep on my left side, heart pounding in my throat. I am down to 220 from 285 (app)since Sept. 15, 2008. I have no edema in my lower legs (furis
