I was suffering from a nonstop migraine of various degrees of pain for over 25 days. My doctor gave me an injection of Toradol and at first I thought it was a waste of time. I went back to work with the same headache with no relief. However, 7-8 hours later my migraine pain was almost nonexistent. I woke up the next day with no pain and have been headache free now for 8 days. This drug is amazing....

I have been on every OA/OP drug on the market, Toredol 10 mg is the only NSAID that brings down the pain and inflammation. Wit NO side effects OTC NSAIDS cause GERD/IBS. It also drops my FMS pain down. I am now sleeping up to 8 hrs, where before I was lucky to get 3-4. Don't understand the Black Box warning, all RX drugs can cause Liver or Kidney damage. And this article states it is RARE! If it were true, then why are multimillion $ ball players being given TOREDOL 30 mg Push to get them back out playing in the locker room, and then the 10 mg for later? If it is good enough for them it is good enough for a person who lives in a constant level of 8-9 pain, even a double dose of Morphine won't bring down the pain like Toredol does. It is getting a FALSE BAD RAP from the FDA who has NO HUMAN BEING at the Bad Drug Hot Line, only computer with lots of numbers to mash, and you have to do your own research for the drug side effects you are trying to report. There is NO SUCCESS rate listed with the drug side effects. Lyrica has a 50% FAILURE rate due to bad side effects. Read More Read Less

Toradol Tabs are dangerous when used for >5days. I'd never write for this drug even if I routinely wrote for Pasin Meds. I had a lot of dental work about 10 years ago and my dentist prescribed Hydrocodone 10mg/APAP 500mg then — and Toradol tabs. He never ordered any Schedule II scripts from the state. I told him I'd pass on the hydrocodone and have a colleague write for Percocet 10/325 when I got to the office. I only needed about 20 pills, but the amount of hydrocodone to quell that pain definitely would make me nauseous and possibly vomit. My pt's doc was prescribing the maximum # of Toradol monthly!. I don't expect everyone to have my level of expertise. How can anyone read this page and submit irrational reasons for wanting to endanger their lives by ABUSING Toradol? Taking it for >5d, given the specifics of the drug, constitutes drug abuse according to any physician who knows this drug. I also wonder about why such a deadly adjunct would be needed with a 24/7 morphine pump. Pain Management is better than ever, but the docs have to know how to mix the cocktails and stop being afraid of writing for Schedule II opiates/opoids. The Toradol-crazed MD I mentioned earlier earned a six-month SUSPENSION of his license to practice which means he can't write for ANY scripted. A valid License to Practice qualifies us to apply for our DEA Registration. No one knew I am allergic to sulfonamide antibiotics until a urologist friend wrote for Bactrim-DS instead of the once standard Levaquin, Cipro or Floxin. I didn't think he committed malpractice or made an avoidable error. He was attempting to use the SAFER drug for my infection based of the knowledge know available about the "Cipro Family" of antibiotics. Read More Read Less

I have chronic lower back pain, also have a sub dermal pain pump giving me morphine 24/7. In spite of that i still have pain. One episode of extreme pain I saw my GP who gave me oral torodal and I was amazed. Almost pain free until the RX ran out. I was taking slightly less than prescribed (3 tabs/day instead of 4) but it was still very effective. How long should I lay off before taking it again? I'm going to ask my pain specialist to prescribe this for me. No side effects that I noticed and wonderful relief.Read More Read Less

After a kidney stone operation I was given morphene which had NO effect on the excruciating pain I was experiencing - as much as with the stone. Only Toradol relieved the pain so I was not screaming. The pain was gone. When I left the hospital I was given a 5 day supply of pills which worked beautifully. After 5 days - forget about it - the pain returned. I got more Toradol and used it until whatever needed to be pulled out of me was done. Then, no more pain. A miracle drug.

I went to the ER due to sharp chest pain. I was diagnosed with costochondritis, an inflammatory muscle condition. The dr. gave me an injection of Toradol in my IV. It did not lessen the pain and now I have been running to the bathroom every few minutes to be sick.

I was dealing with acute pain before receiving a root canal. Three hours after the root canal, I was in severe pain. I took Vicadin and had such a bad reaction to it, that I had to go to the hospital that evening. I was given a shot of Toradol and it relieved the pain completely within one half hour. The relief lasted 7 hours. The next day, I took 10 mg of Toradol and it helped for about 3 hours and then I needed to supplement it with Tylenol. After taking a second dose later that afternoon, it worked immediately but only for about two hours. I am not pleased with the effectiveness of this medication. Also, I normally do not take pain medication at all, so I am extremely disappointed that this medication is not helping with my pain longer than 2-3 hours, and the directions state that the patient is only allowed to take 40 mg in a given day.Read More Read Less

My 24 year old son went in to urgent care with severe back pain. After being given an injection of Toradol, which he said was extremely painful, he quickly became nauseous, nurse brought him water, left, and he developed cramping in his face, hands, legs, his heart rate went up to 150, he was sweating profusely, all his muscles were locking up! When they came in they started treating him, but no one had stayed when he said he was nauseous! After several medications were given, including benadryl and steroids, he was moved to the ER and finally we brought him home! This is the first time he ever had a reaction to a drug in his life, and we will never let him get this again!Read More Read Less

I was given a prescription of Toradol following a tooth extraction. I have been on pain management for advanced cancer and bone metastasis using Morphine for almost 9 months. The day after the extraction a dose of Toradol along with my regular pain medication I had almost complete pain relief. Whole body pain relief. For me, it was a miracle. For five days, I was as close to pain free. Unfortunately, due to the side effects, the pain management doctors will not provide additional prescriptions of the Toradol for the cancer pain. Toradol works on real pain. Only bad thing I can say about it is, why can I not get more. I should note my stomach wrench in knots for almost an hour after each dose, but compared to the pain in my hip and leg, that is nothing.Read More Read Less

I rec'd this drug post-op. I became so confused that I did not know my name, where I was, did not know the person nor place. I pulled out my NG tube, oxygen, and was ready to pull out my PIC line when my daughter stopped me. I could not remember my daughter's name.

I was having daily migraines the docs couldn't figure out (turns out I just needed to stop taking birth control pills). They were giving me Vicodin for the pain, but I couldn't function very well on that. I asked for something that wouldn't knock me out like narcotics do, they gave me Toradol. I was shocked that it got rid of my pain as well as narcotics without making me tired and without possibility of addiction.

This is a worthless medication. I was given Toradol shots for severe dental pain, fibromyalgia pain, ovarian cyst pain and it does NOTHING at all. I even got the pill form it does nothing but give me heartburn and make my kidneys hurt.

I have cluster migraines. My migraines can last up to 5 days. At the onset of a migraine, I take 2 Toradols. It's the ONLY drug that works. The most severe migraine that puts me in the ER is when I get Toradol and Demerol injections in the hip. It's the only combination that will break the cycle.
