Was started on Losinopril but it gave me a bad cough after just a short time, so switched to Losartan. It took a few weeks to kick in but my blood pressure is down in the 120s/70s range (was 140s/90s). I take 25 mg at night before bed. Initially the first week I would get a little dizzy after intense exercise like a spin class but that went away after a week or so. Now have had no side effects and...

I barley have 1.5 weeks on this pill, and just reading other reviews I’m starting to think this pill is causing all my issues. Last few days I’ve been feeling like I have a fever, but typically don’t have one. Just feel hot inside, like if I had been all day out in the sun and I’m exhausted and dehydrated. I feel so tired and unmotivated. I feel like when you’re coming down with a flu. My BP hasn’t gone down much, but I only taking half my pill as I’m very sensitive to pills and wanted to see how I would feel. If this is what half the pill makes me feel I can’t imagine taking the full pill. I’m really trying to give it a chance given I’ve only taken it a week say, but I don’t know. If symptoms don’t improve I will call my dr in a week. I’m tired of always being sensitive to meds.

I was blessed with a diagnosis of Chron's Disease since the age of 19. Since that time I have had multiple surgeries to remove bowel blockages. With the Chron's I had many cases of Pancreatitis. I have asthma, high blood pressure, multiple drug allergies, chronic low magnesium and potassium, seasonal allergies and a depressed immune system due to the lose of my large bowel and a large portion of my small bowel. Sounds like a train wreck I know. Due to allergic reactions to many HP medications, I ended up on taking this drug. It does a good job of keeping my blood pressure down and I haven't had problems with this one. Many drugs I have tried have caused hair loss. I draw the line at being bald with all the other problems I have to deal with. It really has turned out to be the best HP drug for me. As expected, with my health issues I am on several medications. This drug hasn't interfered with any of my medications which is a plus. This has been the most helpful drug for keeping my blood pressure down. Every body reacts differently to most drugs. This one worked for me. It may not be the right drug for everyone. I have been on it for over 6 years. It has worked better for me than all the other drugs for HP I have tried.

Felt like I was going to die after taking this. Whatever you do. DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG. Ask your doctor for a better or no drug at all.
