Love it.For years I had bad heartburn,I started taking omeprazole heartburn is gone.

I feel good during taking the drug,but I start to complain again few days after stop taking it

I had a reaction to this medication. Rash, hives itching, swelling of mouth face lips and unusual hoarseness, chills and sore throat. After being on this for 5 weeks, I finally figured it out. Be careful and if you experience I suggest you discontinue

I had heartburn since i was in my mid-teens. I actually couldn't even remember what it was like to not have heartburn. This past year, it has been the worst. My mom suggested i take this (prilosec) and see how it works. I had been taking tums and zantac for years with very short results, and having to take it several times a day. Once i began taking this drug, i have had NO heartburn. Before, even drinking water could give me heartburn. Now, NOTHING effects me. I can feel it almost immediately too once i have finished a 14 day round of this med. I have to take it much more consistently. I noticed that some people say the ease of use is not too nice. Along with proper diet (minus pop, coffee and fried foods) and the medication taken properly, my stomach pains have subsided. I did notice a side effect of occasional diarhea.

I first took 20mg dose and did not work. Increased to 40mg aand still not successful.Stomach pain and general feeling of nausea until late in evening.

I used to have stomach pain and eat tums all day. Since starting this med, I don't have either. It works very well for me. If I miss it, I can tell because my stomach hurts all day. It is inconvenient that it has to be taken first thing, without other meds or food for at least 30 minutes.

Have had severe allergic skin reaction, sudden onset.

after about 45 minutes that I had taked a prilosec which this drug is the main ingredient in, I went into anaphylactic shock and almost died.
