this med works along with other medications I take .. most adverse symptoms of feeling tired or zombie is due to, as my cardiologist says, because your body is used to functioning on high blood pressure .. therefore you body goes thru a with draw like stage as it gets used to lower blood pressure .. as your body gets used to running on lower pressure, than most symptoms will disappear .. its scary...

My condition is high blood pressure. I was already taking other meds to lower my bp. It would spike ocassionally. My last readings at dr.s office was 146/75. Which is not that high. Dr prescribed hydrazaline 50mg 2x a day. I started taking it and instantly a really bad headach. I continued for a week and side effect got worse. Irregular heart rate with tightness, diarrea, lack of appetite, extreme ...

As a lupus patient this medication caused a severe flare-up of bone, joint, and muscle pain (particularly in my legs), as well as major swelling in my hands and feet. BP increased on this medication. Required increasing Prednisone and Tramadol to deal with symptoms. Not good! Stopped taking hydralazine after 3 days.

This drug taken 3 times daily (25mg) for about 18 months for high blood pressure and CHF. After about 12 months developed lupus symptoms which grew worse with time, and severely impacted my general health. Afer stopping the drug my health has improved and I am nearly back to normal. Take this drug at your peril.

Worst headache I've ever experienced. BP registered 187/120; pulse 117. Thought I was dieing. I took Tylenol for the pain and cried myself to sleep. Praying the whole time for GOD to take the pain away!!! BP is now 133/78 but still getting the headaches along with srthritis syptoms. Will not continue to take this med. Would rather deal with the drowsiness of clonedine.

I have been on this medication for 2 weeks with every symptom mentioned and then some. gotten over the worst part which were the headaches. With the help of advil. This medication takes a lot out of me as I have no urge to do anything. My stomach bloats up twice as much, even though I have not the urge to eat like I used to. stuffy noses, dry mouth and heart pounding are an every day thing.I do not like this drug however my options are limited.

I took this drug with others for over year to keep my VERY high blood pressure under control. Then I developed Hydralazine induced Lupus, all my joints became swollen and painful. I couldn't move! Now I'm on steriods to reduce the pain and swelling. Doc says I should fully recover.

When I first took it I had really bad headachs and got over that but then after 3 or more years of being on it I began to feel achey all over. My muscles started to hurt so bad I couldn't do anything. I had may of the symtems that are mentioned here. I went and saw another doctor and thank God he had the same thing happen to him. He took me off hydralazine and put me on another med in place of it. He also percribed prednisone and started to feel better within a few hours. I have been off hydralazine since November 7, 2008 and feel good. No more pain after about 3 days and have felt great since then. The doctor told me he knew of 2 cases his and mine. I had many test done to see what was wrong with me and here it was just the medication hydralazine. I hope that if anyone has this happen to them that they talk to their doctor that it may just be the hydralazine. Hope this helps anyone out ther that may be expereincing the same thing as I didRead More Read Less
