My doc prescribed (10mg) this to me after not having periods off/on for over 2 yrs. It has worked great. 1st month I started 16 days after 10th pill, 2nd month 7 days later 3rd month and following months 6 days later. Not only am I now having normal cycles, I have lost weight, headaches have reduced - I feel almost normal again! The first cycle was very heavy but have gotten lighter each month...

I've been on this medication for 4 days now. My doctor prescribed it to start my periods again since my period has been absent for 4 months. I was prescribed a 10 day dose, today I am expieriencing rib pain, stomach cramps and EXTREME tiredness, also a loss of appetite. Can't wait to end this medication! I'm just hoping it brings my periods back and not too heavy.

I have had extreme back pain for the past 4 yrs. The pain was the worst the week before my period. When I went in for my anual I told my doctor that I was 30 yrs old and too young for it to take me 20 min. to get out of bed in the morning, and that my period was so heavy I could hardly function. He started me on this med and I have had no back pain since. He said that he suspects that I have endometriosis. I just want to know if this is a regular treatment for this disease. From what I have read about it, it's not really good for long term use. Read More Read Less

This medication did not work for me. When your doctors nurse tells you that you may or may not have PCOS and you have to take more pills. And that you may not be able to have children its hard on a 20 year old you wants kids in the near future. I guess im a little hurt by that. He put me on birth control so when that didn't help three weeks ago he put me on Provera(Medroxyprogesterone which is a sub for Provera) and when that didn't work he decides to put me on another pill and puts me on two more weeks on the Provera sub. Now if that doesn't work what will he try next. So im getting a second opion.Read More Read Less

I missed my period for about 3 months because of a steroid shot my doctor gave me when I had inflamed vocal cords. I was prescribed a 10 day dose. On day 7 mu period finally came with a lot of cramps. In the last 7 days this drug has given me nausea, constipation and some stomach pain. Can't wait to start working on baby number 2

It did help me to finally get my period again, but two days after I started taking it, and every night since then, even after I stopped using it, I have started shaking uncontrollably for up to twenty minutes. (It has been about two weeks since I stopped using it.)

I suffered from a hormonal imbalace which caused me to have my period all the time with the exception of a few days a month. I have been on this medication for a few years and my new doctor is getting ready to switch me. I never had any major problems with this medication. New users be aware it takes about 3 months to get into you completely and get your regulated.

I'm in my first month of using it to control my crazy never-ending periods, and the first period it's given me is crazy! It's super heavy because it's cleaning me out, but in the long run it's supposed to help regulate me.

I exercise 4 times per week and am on a strict diet and cannot lose weight. I think it is due to this drug. It also caused a yeast infection. But at least the very heavy bleeding has stopped!

Loss of appetite. But, scared of all the side effects. My Mother & Grandmother died from blood clots. Is there a herbal type of med that can be subsituted?
