One 30 mg capsule does the trick. Better reaction if taken on an empty stomach. Usually get between 6-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep with no nightmares or hangover effect. Wake up feeling fully rested.

I was put on temazepam when Ambien didn't work after 10 years. Initially I didn't think it was working, but think my body had to figure out it wasn't getting Ambien any longer. I was originally prescribed 15mg but when it finally started working it left me feeling drugged in the morning. I have switched to 7.5mg and I am sleeping well 90% of the time and waking up refreshed and ready for the day. What started out as a bad experience is not a very positive one. I have noticed no side effects (with 7.5mg) to date. I have been taking it for about a month nightly.Read More Read Less

I started taking this medication a little less than a month ago. I have suffered from anxiety and insomnia for years, so it's a God send. Most of the other medication's I have taken make me so tired throughout the day. I have not noticed being EXTREMELY tired, but often I fall back asleep until I feel fully rested. I do not wake up what so ever once I take this medicine, I am in a great sleep once taken this medicine, and haven't sleep walked, drove, or anything in that nature. My physician said that it was okay for me to get less than 8 hours sleep on it, that's why it was prescribed. The only thing I have noticed being a negative is feeling a little queasy during the day time(I take this at night) Read More Read Less

I take Temazepam for Restless leg Sym. Some nights it works well but also at times I can't sleep at all. Which that is what I'd like to know why they don't always work. a lot of the pill turns out to be duds.

I have been taking this medication for over 15 years. I have tried to sleep without it, but the insomnia is right there.

It worked for me until my body developed a tolerance to it. I still take the same amount, but with less sleep and it's only getting worse. I was aware of tolerance so this is not my biggest complaint. I started having eye problems! My right eye has this itchy feeling, which is a little painful. It's more annoying than anything. The hangover from this medicine is also terrible. I will definitely stop taking it.

I've been taking Temazepam (15 mg) 2-3 nights per week (to avoid tolerance), other nights I take two capsules of valerian root. Haven't experienced any side effects and find it effective. It provides a full 7-8 hours of sleep with no hangover.

Works well for sleep, but long term use can show signs of muscle weakness; symptoms of bursitis.

I have had trouble sleeping my entire life. My Doctor put me on Temazepam 30 MG and I have been on it for about 4 years. Does help me sleep but am getting about 4 hours a night. Only problem is that in the morning I have trouble opening my eyelids unless I use my hands to help open them. Has anyone else experienced this? Never had that problem before I started taking this drug. Slight memory loss also.

All Temazapan is not created equal. Some generics very in potency and effect then others in my experience. I have been on 15 mgr for 30 years and it's finally turning it's back on me as I have bad memory loss and amnesia this many years later. To scared to try to go off of it.

Tried this as substitute for Ambien CR which I have been on for over 15 years. It had no effect whatsoever for about 3 hours. Total sleep for the night around 4 1/2 hours. Not exactly impressed but had no "hangover" feeling in the morning.
