I had three intramuscular injections. As a result my periods didn't end for 75 days. I had diarrhea, suicidal thoughts, vitamin D deficiency, paresthesia, numbness in my limbs, scalp burning, severe scalp hair loss, eyebrows and eyelashes loss, itchiness all over my face and head, dermatitis, acne, headaches. It's been 5 months after injections and I'm still losing hair by handfuls! I've lost 50% ...

I have a mild case of Plaque Psoriasis. Local injections completely clear the skin flaking. The results last about 4-6 months. I've been undergoing this therapy for 3 years. It's awesome.

I had this injection April.28,2016 and a week later I started having another period. Its almost been a month and it has not stopped. I went to my GYNO two weeks before shot and everything seemed fine. This Has turned my life upside down. I been taking vitamins and Black strap molasses and organic apple cider vinegar to help my body heal. This Medicine is not good. I'm tired all the time. After the injections the doctor said it would mess with my periods, if I known this meant forever,I would of Never received this. I am also postmenopausal with periods every 28-30days. I wish Doctors were NOT so willing to just give meds without fully understanding the outcome. Read More Read Less

I get a shot every three months or less often as needed. It completely clears my hand and foot psoriasis and also helps with arthritis and joint pain. I consider it a wonder drug with little of the side effects one might encounter with a biologic.

Injection into the hip socket (80 mg Kenalog). Within a few hours the heart rate increased, with headache for 48 hr along with ringing in the ears, sore throat. Both shoulders and both hips hurt bad, with muscle fatigue in arms. Injected hip was overfilled - 80 mg is to much fluid for my hip joint. Never had these problems before. 10 days after injection sores in the mouth, joint pain in hips and shoulders. I have had another injection of this product in the SI joint (15- 20 mg Kenalog) with out these side effects. Very difficult to rate relief from the injection due to the pain in mentioned joints. I would NOT recommend any dose of this product over 40mg - max. Over all rating, for this product (LOW) Read More Read Less

I get shots of Kenalog 40 every 3 months and this has helped my swollen glands (from sarcoidosis) a lot. No side effects except a little headache for about 24 hours. Nothing that interrupts my day.

Split shot inter muscular gives me up to 4 months pain free. It's the first time I've been pain free in years. Arthritis and fibro. Only side affect is it takes a couple of days to start working and I feel a bit off during that time

I was given this injection for sinus allergies. I now have a dent in my buttock and I'm losing my hair. Apparently this is common. I was never told by my doctor. More notification needs to be given about these side effects.

I received an injection today, and receive this injection twice a year for severe seasonal allergies. I have not had any major sinus issues as a resut of allergies ever since I began the injections. Other than a little soreness at the injection site, I have had no side effects.

It does diminish the scar but simply can't go far enough. I don't like that the injection is placed under your skin and inflating the scar with a fluid. Every product in general that is good for your skin is also good for a keloid. My experience shows me that much. I've tried almost everything. Laser operation, corticosteroid injections, surgical removal, silicon plates and gels .... sooo many. I've achieved best results using MAGNESIUM OIL - Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate !!! and TEA TREE OIL !!! It is also very important that you protect your keloid from sun exposure or use higher sunprotect factor!Read More Read Less

pulled tendon s1,L5. has significant pain and neurological symptoms. IM injection near injury site. within 8 hrs, severe debilitating muscle cramps that started in my feet and moved up into my arms and torso as time increased. after 24hrs of agonizing muscle spasm I found a rare side effect of mineral depletion, sodium, potassium, magnesium,& calcium. just 3hrs after increasing potassium & mag supplements. My symptoms rapidly started to resolve. My medical associates had never seen this reaction before. In another 48 hrs all my symptoms of muscle spasm were gone and my back healed nicely. However my auto immune disease went into full flair up and I am still feeling it's effects 8 months later. Kenalog is on my significant reactions list and will be avoided in the future. I have taken 2 Kenalog injections a year (spring, fall) for severe allergies for years since I was a teen. Kenalog is the only thing that saves me from allergies and the sickness it will bring if severe and untreated in the spring and fall. I'm not sure why all the negative reviews as Kenalog is pretty safe for allergy treatment. My father has taken in numerous times for allergies as well. The only major side effect you have is it DOES cause a divot at the injection site. I got mine in my butt so I could care less. The other side effect I've noticed over the years is dryness of the skin for the first week or so. Another side effect is itching for about 24 hours (my father complained of itching as well). Drink tons of water and keep your skin moisturized before and after you even get the injection to ease the experience. Read More Read Less

Day 1 after injection. I have been suffering from joint/muscle tenderness for 1 1/2 years, with no relief. tried chiropractor, physical therapy and exercise, with little to no relief. Latest physical therapy seemed to aggravate and bring on more soreness especially in lower back. Have been taking Tramadol for past year to manage pain, getting less effective, thus seeking answers. Newest doctor seems to think I have bursitis in my hips, causing the radiating pain. I am hopeful that this injection will help. Still looking for long term answers.Read More Read Less

It is 24 hours after one injection and noted insomnia and increased appetite and overall itching (perhaps nervousness) and being hyper from drug. I have a history of insomnia and I hope this drug does not cause further insomnia, because if read that is one side effect....the doctor never mentioned any side affects to me, even though I asked! It is too soon to see if this drug works for my infection oozing poison ivy rash, but will wait and see, but the insomnia may be a problem for patients. Good Luck to all! (RN)Read More Read Less

I got severe hair loss after this medication. I got 4 shots and 2 months later my hair started shedding like crazy. It's been 3 months, I lost about 30% of my hair and it's still shedding. I do hope it's reversible but am really scared. Besides that I got menstrual irregularities. I was bleeding for 75 days, then had a short break and then again bleeding for 21 days. I also got acne, itching, burning sensation all over my scalp, dermatitis, depression and anxiety. This is poison, not drug!

I'm allergic to the sun and have various other allergies and I'm an asthmatic. My live is much better after a Kenalog injection. I've taken it off and on over the years. My allergies are getting worse with age.
