I have had IBS for more than 15 years.mrecently I have experienced a flare that just wouldn't stop. The gas was constant and embarrassing and the diarrhea was sending me racing to any and all bathrooms I could find. I take coarse Metamucil and watch what I eat but it wasn't enough. I saw the IBGard at the store and thought I would try it. After a month I can tell you that it is amazing. I seldom have gas, my abdominal cramps have disappeared, and I have not suffered from any diarrhea or the hemorrhoid causing constipation. It took a month to heal. But this flare has lasted three months. I will never use anything else. I can give up the Imodium. So with a combination of diet, Metamucil, and the IBGard i am hopeful.Read More Read Less

I am taking this due to chronic ibs symptoms and most recently, urgency and soft stool. I feel like this only makes me have to go..when i want it to make me feel less like i need to go (opposite effect). I find myself still feeling urgency soon after taking pill and running to take my lomotil (great pill) and imodium. I think this is only a good answer to constipation, not my prob which is diahhrea. Something to note however is that i also have a neurogenic bowel due to spina bifida.

I have IBS. Have just began to start the medication as a trial. I have only taken it for 3 days one pill prior to eating. I hope this continues. I have never felt this good in years. I have had absolutely no bloating , gas or stomach discomfort or loose stool. I have actually eaten 3 meals a day! 61 yr old, female..Give this a try !

Took for my IBS with diarrhea. Suggested by my gastrologist. Asked him about the peppermint due to I cannot eat peppermint candy without it burning my stomach. He told me IBgard was triple coated should not be a problem. Took one before each one my meal as stated. For a total of three. Stomach started to hurt after the third one and have not stopped hurting for four days straight. Diarrhea as usual. Afraid to eat anything. Horrible experience. They are not for me.

I have been using this medicine and noticed its important to use only before or after eating. I think this is the key to not being in pain. Additionally buy sognidoro camamille tea from italy. It will help 100%. Use both and the pills as directed

I took all of 2 pills. I started having bowel movements very soon after the second pill. It never stopped. 24 hours later I am still just passing water. I have aches in all of my joints and I have a queezy stomach. This would be a a great pill to take before having a colonoscopy!!

Horrible day because of this stuff. I hope I recover in time for work tomorrow!

Dear IBgard, I wanted to share my experience with you. Over this past weekend I came across information on your product. Eager to try it and very optimistic after reading everything on your site about it I could not wait to try it. Sunday at my neighborhood Walgreens I purchased a box of 48 capsules. I decided to start out slowly with one capsule after dinner. Seemed ok. Definitely helped with bloating. Initially. Then there was some diarrhea and some discomfort, pain with elimination. I thought perhaps my body just needs to get used to this as it does what it is supposed to be doing. Monday night after dinner I took one more capsule. My last. I spent most of the night and the following two days in the bathroom with extremely painful elimination. You state in your information that because of the technology you use to encapsulate the peppermint oil that it eliminates the painful elimination many experience with other peppermint supplements. I found this to be absolutely untrue in my experience. I am completely disappointed in this product. Last night was the second night I took it (according to the directions) and my stomach began burning at 2:00 am. I still have a burning sensation today at 8:30 am. I am not going to continue the treatment. I also am still have the IBS symptoms. It does not seem worth my while to try this product further. Thanks for trying to help as I am desperate to try anything, since I am miserable with the IBS.

I have celiac disease and IBS-A. I use IBGard to control my IBS symptoms like bloating, gas, diarrhea and constipation. Whenever I feel a flare up coming on I take a capsule and feel better within 10 minutes! IBGard is great for when you are on the go because it works so fast and you don't have to deal with embarrassing IBS symptoms.

I was just told I have IBS and have had stomach pain for 2 years. My doctor gave me a trail run of this product at first I tried one a day and didn't really notice a difference so I went to 2 a day and am very pleased with the results. It gets things going for me which hasn't happened in a long time.

I have suffered from IBS for many years. My typical symptoms were severe constipation with pain and bloating. I found the medication to be very smooth acting and has led to daily bowel movements. I am very pleased.
