I take this for severe muscle spasm of the neck (back of neck) which causes severe pain, severe head pain. I was told it can take a couple of weeks to work it took almost a month. So when you see those programs on tv where people walk into a cosmetic surgeons office, get injections and then the wrinkles magically disappear don't be fooled, it takes weeks to work. My first set of injections was in ...

I had a 12 to 15 of these lumps to date. Been to several MD's with no answers. Botox is the only thing I've had in this area. I had one show up in lobe of ear a few ...

Although it is extremely painful, it has been effective and, in my opinion, safer that drugs (such as oxycontin) recommended by other physicians, as I cannot function while taking these meds. relief is much longer lasting as well.

My first set of injections was in the para spinal muscles of the cervical spine. Took almost a month to work but only lasted about a month and a half. So six weeks, but six weeks of relief was worth it. So this last set of injections (can only be done every 90 days) is in the para spinals and the sub occipital area so we shall see if this lasts longer than the previous set of injections. There is usually soreness for a week from the injections and sometimes some intermitent burning in the muscles and I am sure this is the Botox "uptake" by the muscles. All in all not a bad experience at all and for even a short duration of relief it is all worth it. Read More Read Less
