Menopausal hot flashes, weight gain. Have noticed hot flashes diminish greatly with dim and weight loss, five pounds in two months. Feel much better and less emotional.

Assuming DIM caused my reaction as nothing else changed in my routine -- took recommended 2 cap/day dose - by evening of second dose my eyes were swollen with huge bags under my eyes and puffy lids, and a pink bumpy rash on my trunk and arms. My throat seemed raw -- I took a Benedryl and stopped taking the DIM. Took a few days for the swelling to subside.

Dangerous product. Would give zero stars if I could. I am post-menopausal and took the 150 mg caps of DIM for hormone regulation. On Day 2, I began having heart palpitations (never had this before except when I first started taking Synthroid and the dr had my dose too high). By Day 4, I realied it must be the DIM causing the palpitations and I stopped taking it. So I on took 4 capsules in total. I just had my yearly bloodwork and exam and it appears I am in good health. Well, it has been 3 weeks since I stopped taking DIM and still have palpitations (not as bad but still having them daily). So yesterday, I decided to skip my Synthroid dose. I woke up this morning with puffy, watery eyes (never had that before). I wonder if the DIM is interacting with my Synthroid. This is a nightmare. I just wish these terrible symptoms would go away.Read More Read Less

I was told that DIM SGS+ by Biote Nutraceutical was the piece that was a key part of my BHRT. I started taking it Monday night and after I took it Tuesday night I got an unbearable migraine! It finally went away during the day Wednesday. I took it again Wednesday night, same thing. This time it hasn't fully gone away. I'm not taking it tonight! I wish I had been warned about this as it looks like many women have had bad experiences.

My days of self medicating myself with random supplements is over. I took this for low libido and maybe it worked for that the first time I took it. Maybe placebo. It's the Royal Maca + DIM. It gave me awful headaches. I skipped a period. My next period was pretty heavy with cramps. I feel like I pulled an abdominal muscle and I've been feeling so depressed. It's been about 3-5 wks since I last took it. The depression seems to be lifting thank god.

I never had hot flashes!! Stopped taking after 5 days. 7 hot flashes that woke me from my sleep. Several hot flashes during the day all 5 days of taking Dim. It’s been about a month since I stopped taking and not I have 3 while sleeping and 5 during the day. So disappointed!! I have a feeling that it’s not going to go away anytime soon !’ Doctor recommended for high estrogen to level out bad estrogen.

I slowly tapered up because I got headaches starting with a full dose. After a couple weeks in 100mg twice/day, my hot flashes + night sweats were 100% gone! Unfortunately though, they have returned, though less severe than before. I now have several heat waves through the day + eve, and wake up a couple times/night feeling sweat on my face. Before the night sweats were much worse, I'd be drenched in sweat, followed by brief chills. I just wish they were working as well as before. The brand I take is Best Naturals.Read More Read Less

I am currently on BioTe hormone pelleting treatments. Not Taking DIM is not an option. I experienced terrible headaches, indigestion, nausea, vomiting. It's not for me. Disturbing how a company that charges $600 every 3 months for pelleting, insists patients take THEIR SUPPLEMENT, DIM. JUST A RIP OFF. AND, DANGEROUS TO SOME WOMEN LIKE ME WHO ARE ALLERGIC TO IT.

Glad I found this site because a lot of other sites tout DIMs effectiveness. I was having peri-menopause symptoms so I started taking DIM, magnesium & vitamin B. First, I got my period a bit early. Then, AFTER my period I got really moody. Then, the AFTER my period I got extreme breast tenderness and my breasts grew bigger than ever (I know I’m in the minority but I do not like having larger breasts and think they’re uncomfortable). My belly also swelled a bit and I had headaches. I just felt horrible and swollen. I honestly thought I was pregnant (at 46!) because I’d never experienced anything like this before. Nope. It was the DIM. I stopped taking it and am finally deflating and my mood is better. Read More Read Less

I have been on DIM for months, then recently the Naturopathic Doctor put me on EstroDIM of a higher potency. Now I’ve been having uterine cramps for days and I’m nowhere near getting my period. Started bleeding now too. After reading other reviews, have realized that the mood swings may also be related to this. Crying for no reason. Significantly decreases libido. Awful supplement, don’t take.

After the second day of use…saw blood in my pee. Thought a first it could be a bladder infection even though I had no other symptoms. Happen to be seeing my doc on the Second day. She took urine..no bladder infection. Showed her the bottle of DIM she thought it would be fine for hormone balance. But the minute I started taking it again I would see blood in my urine. Also been having headaches. After reading these reviews and seeing the Danes issues from others I will not continue taking DIM. Read More Read Less

Helped almost immediately with estrogen dominance. It seems like it needs to be taken in conjunction with calcium d glucurate to be most effective

I was taking DIM to help lower my estrogen as part of BHRT. The side effects were not too bad initially, but the longer I took it, the worse things got. I suffer from gout and haven’t had a flare-up in several years. I am on a keto, non-dairy, and gluten-free diet. The second week into taking 100mg daily, I had the worst flair-up of gout I have ever had. By late evening every day, the gout was much better, but it would get worse a few hours after taking the DIM. I continued taking it despite the flair-up. I started having other side effects, like bad brain fog, severe headaches, bad indigestion, not sleeping, flushing of the face, inflammation of my sinuses, mood change, nausea, and overall not feeling good. I have stopped taking it; on day one, my gout is about gone. I still have most of the others side effects but much less. I’m going back to taking I3C. I had zero issues taking it. I started getting severe night sweats about 3 to 4 days before my period and the duration of my period. Found information online that this helps with hormonal issues related to PMS so I started taking it the day before my period started and I had a mild headache the entire day. The next day I woke up and didn't even have to turn on my fan to cool down first thing in the morning even though we're in the middle of a heat and I had 4 mornings with severe hot flashes in a row that week. Day 4 and I've noticed my period isn't as painful or as heavy as usual. I actually forgot I'm on it because I'm experiencing so few symptoms. I'm taking 200mg every morning. Read More Read Less

I am 40 and have super large uterine fibroids. They feel uncomfortable, heavy and at times painful ?? . I was also put on combination pill Levora so it's possible that combining it with Dim Plus by Nature's Way is incompatible. Upon starting DIM, in 2 weeks I started a really heavy period, where the blood was flowing so hard like you're urinating! Going to the bathroom was equivalent to a horror movie, where the blood filled my toilet with alarming rate and looked like a murder scene!!! It was so scary I almost went to the ER. Another symptom was shedding of uterine lining - after heavy cramping I was expelling alien like 1-2 in long tissue, that looked like I was expelling fibroids or something. Overall I really wanted to like Dim but I have anemia and I am bleeding out and I feel like my life is in danger, so had to quit today. I was taking 100mg a day - but I am done suffering, this is too much :(Read More Read Less

I feel like I've stained the entire inside of my body orange. Dark pee was expected, dental staining was not. I literally bleached my teeth yesterday and haven't eaten since and they're orange again. Also severe gastrointestinal side effects. Seems to help with symptoms cut couldn't stay on it long enough to really say.

I was taking this to help with pre-menopause symptoms, namely, very heavy blood flow during my periods. I was actually on the 2nd day of my period when I started taking this, a 200 mg capsule. I went from bleeding a ton, to not bleeding at all! That might sound great, however, I also developed a headache, nausea and bowel cramping. I figured there might be a period of adjustment, so I took one 200 mg capsule for 2 more days.......the 3rd night, I awoke in the middle of the night with such severe pain and abdominal cramping/diarrhea that I started to black out. My heart was racing and I was covered in a cold sweat. My urine was also a dark copper color. I stopped taking it after this last episode; very scary! I think this is dangerous at higher doses or for some people. I seriously thought I might have to go to the ER and wondered what would happen if I had blacked out.Read More Read Less

Endometriosis. I hope this review helps even one person! I had painful endo about seven years ago. A friend suggested this supplement and ALL the pain was gone in less than thirty days. 100mg 2x/day. A few years later I got lazy and stopped taking it and pain started to return. Started taking it again and pain is gone. IT WORKS! I was able to avoid a hysterectomy.

Had ovaries removed after years of endometrial surgery including hysterectomy. Instant menopause with weight gain, hormonal acne, hot flashes etc. Am using estrogen patches which have helped with the hot flashes, night sweats. Started taking DIM a week ago for the very painful hormonal acne (I have never had acne before in my life). It seems it may be helping clear the acne... however... I am woken at about 5am every day with an extremely painful headache at the base of my head which lasts until about 9am even with paracetamol. I am going to try to stick it out a bit longer as I am hoping that this is a side effect that will pass...but it's no fun :(Read More Read Less

Before taking DIM I had very heavy periods. Sometimes they would last 3 weeks at a time. After taking DIM my periods have totally stopped. I am 53. I do experience hot flashes now which I never had before taking DIM. But I am glad something finally helped with my heavy bleeding.
