I started taking Theanine daily (100mg a day) after 2 weeks of daily panic attacks. Right away I noticed a difference. I could feel the anxiety build and then die down. Before taking the supplement I would spend 15 minutes in a full blown attack. I took it daily for 60 days. Now, I take it on days when I feel anxious or under a lot of stress. I tell everyone with anxiety to try it. There ar...

I am 80 yr old, have fibromylgia (severe pain at night) I take thranine at bedtime and 6:00am, in between those times I supplement with other things (health food) for the pain, I rest about 3 hr. before waking up with interstitial cystitis and leg pain. I am searching for correct dosage.

Take two a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon - if trouble sleeping, take one at night. Has been a life-saver!!

I take L-Theanine to help with general anxiety and overemotionalism issues. It has helped me to feel like (what I would imagine) a "normal" person feels like. It has been life-changing!

This dose help short term, but after awhile it makes me irritable. I take it off and on.I was taking it every day. I think I will try changing it to a couple of times a week to see if that eliminates the irritability. I use 200 mg of Bluebonnet brand

L Theanine has helped me tremendously. It takes about 20 minutes after youbtake a 200 mg pill. I have used up to 5- 200 mg pills in one day, spread out of course, and have never had any side effects, it just makes me feel like I do when I dont have anxiety. I do and will recommend anyone who has anxiety to itry it!

(Theanine Serene With Relora by Serene Science) My doctor wants to diagnose me with adult ADD. She told me that it is very common for adult women to go undiagnosed for a long period of time. I am not comfortable going to a “cognitive therapist” to “examine” me or to have that on my medical record. So I went to Clarks Nutrition Store in Rancho Mirage. A nutritionist there explained that in adults ADD can be easier to manage as an adult because we recognize what is right and wrong behavior and we need to address my sleep pattern first because lack of sleep magnifies the problems of those who suffer with ADD. So, he suggested working on my insomnia and racing behavior that leaves me running around trying to complete my multiple tasks that I should have never started at one time. Basically in a nutshell he said if my sleep is more sound, my cognitive function will improve drastically. I have now almost completed my bottle, while this is not a miracle pill, in the first week I did sleep deeper. Initially I found I was sleepy in the middle of the day and found I woke up at 4:30 am promptly for that week (I am NOT a morning person!) so I am playing with the distribution of the time I take them. His suggestion was to take one on an empty stomach during the day while my mind is MOST active, twice a day. I tried 10-11am and 8-9pm but now I am trying 10-11am and 3-4pm I awoke at 7:30 which is much better. Overall I am extremely satisfied and am going to make this a permanent part of my day. I am not cured of my symptoms but I do feel a systematic change in my symptoms. The daytime sleepy thing was only about the first week. It has now been in my body almost a whole month. It is something you have to give a whole 2-3 weeks to have an overall feel for how it will work with your system. I told my husband last night, “ I don’t feel cured but I definitely feel something better.” of course, he is just happy that I get to bed sometime before 2 a.m every night and I am too!Read More Read Less

I really like theanine. I take with melatonin every night and it works well. Word of caution, don't take with cold meds...it really knocked me out. I took with Nyquil. I was really, really out of it the next day. It was quite scary. Had it not been a Saturday, I wouldn't have been able to go to work.

I use L-Theanine for my severely autistic child. Usually, he can get very agitated and aggressive, but when given his dose of L-Theanine (about 400mg), within 15 minutes he's like a changed child. I don't believe much in the medical community and surely not in prescription medicines. I have never given my child any prescription meds for his behavioral problems and never would, and when I found out about L-Theanine, all my suspicions about the medical community where warranted. I wish doctors would tell their patients about alternative treatments, instead of trying to fill their wallets. L-Theanine is a wonderdrug for my autistic child. I'm using L-Theanine by Liftmood (great product and very affordable, unlike others!)Read More Read Less

100 mg, daily, for social anxiety. Just one 100mg does the job. Sometimes I open the capsule in tea. Regardless of when I take it, it helps. Works fast enough to take on the drive over. I'm sleeping better and my dreams are more vivid and I seem to remember them more. Melatonin works for sleep issues, for me, but, I'm needing that less. Thrilled such a minimal dose is so effective, for me. Initially took as needed, but, benefits worth taking it daily, which I now do.

I ordered L-Theanine in the powder form from Liftmode. It is super easy to use as I just add it to my water in the morning (no taste). I have struggled with anxiety and depression and this has helped me to stay focused at work and relax. It has vastly improved my mood as well as my work performance. I would definitely recommend this to others who might struggle with something similar.

Warning to those using L-Theanine and interactions:I had the flu including a head cold, felt lousy.I took 2 - 100 mg. of L-theanine and a sudafed. Just needed to clear the head and rest for a few hours.I woke up and could hardly move my legs, and my tongue was numb, my thought process blurry. I thought I had a stroke, had to be ambulanced to ER, etc.Took hours to get out of system. In doing further research on internet about what could have happened, there is info about interactions with cold meds that is not on the bottle. Please be careful!!!!Read More Read Less

After some research, I chose Metagenics "Lumina." The capsule takes about 45-60 minutes to kick in. This works as well as Xanax or Clonapin, but without the drowsy side effects.
