It works instantly for me. Probably depends if acetylcholine is the problem. Brain fog vanishes, dreams become vivid, memory improvement, motivation and mood improvement very noticeable on the same day. The down side for me is it makes me so alert I am awake longer at night and it gives me a minor headache so I cut back to every other day so I get those side effects every other day. My mother ...

I have been using this product for over two months & have NOT noticed any change in my cognitive function or my memory. However, I have been unable to find out how it takes for this product to actually cause a change in either of these functions!

Still early to tell. I took a lot of psych. meds that have dulled my mind. I'll give it a try for at least 30 days.

I noticed some difficulty with work recall and memory and began taking an OTC omega & huperzine & phosphatidyl serines. Improvement was immediate. When my local health store runs out I notice an immediate decline. I am mentally sharper than all my peers and better than I have been in years.

The down side for me is it makes me so alert I am awake longer at night and it gives me a minor headache so I cut back to every other day so I get those side effects every other day. My mother and grandfather have and had Alzheimer's and I was feeling very slow tired and foggy as I neared 70 and now I am back to 30 mentally. Worth the side effects.Read More Read Less

I have been using Huperzine A for about one month. I only take 50 mcg every other day and I have noticed very significant increase in focus, thought process and energy while having no negative effects. I noticed the effect after the first dose and have continued to experience improvement. I believe if you do not notice any changes when taking this product then you don't have acetylcholine deficiency and do not need it but if you do notice changes then you likely have a deficiency.

I've been taking Huperzine A (Liftmode brand) for a couple of months now and have noticed a subtle but very noticeable improvement in word recall and conversational ability.

I use SOURCE NATURAL which you do not list below. The tablets are 200 mcg and I use two a day.I noticed after a week my recall memory was coming back on line. No side effects so far and studies indicate none.

memory and word recall is improved. My teenager has been diagnosed (several years ago) as having ADHD and auditory processing disorder. She will speak more fluently with it and her short term memory has improved. Also word recall is faster.

Used along with with Namenda for the past two and a half years for non-Alzheimer's short term memory loss, after taking Namenda and Aricept together for one year before that. It replaced Aricept and has been at least as as effective. I now take one 200mcg tablet with each meal, three times a day, up from originally one tablet a day and then two tablets a day. Because Aricept was started alone with limited success (Oct 2006) before Namenda (Jan 2007), I can't report anything about using Huperzine A alone. I haven't experienced any noticeable side effects, but would be reluctant to take a higher dosage without seeing the results of a credible study at higher dosages.Read More Read Less
