I have been diagnosed with arthritis of the wrist and hand that has caused me much pain. I started to apply 70% solution of DMSO to the area of the pain with an eye dropper and working it into the skin with the side of the glass eye dropper. I apply DMSO twice a day this way and got pain relief that has make it possible for me to do my normal activities that I could not do before. The maximum pa...

I have arthitis in both knees. DMSO has not proved to be any better for pain relief than Ibuprofen gel (which has the advantage of not making your breath smell of garlic or sour milk)

Was given 9 syringes of 50% solution to treat an area on my arm where the drug infiltrated during chemotherapy. I was instructed to use one every 8 hours, wetting a gauze sponge and applying it to the arm. The pain and burning associated with this were excruciating and my doctor instructed me to discontinue use after 6 of the syringes.

I have what's commonly called "frozen shoulder". After do extensive research, I started using the DMSO I'd had in my medicine cabinet- because I remembered it from the 70's. I am almost completely pain free in two months- with the physical therapist calling me the frozen shoulder "wonder girl" - yet the guy at the health food store "warned" me against it. I have a bad stomach and can't take any anti-inflammatories. This has saved me from excruciating pain!!!!!

I have chronic hip bursitis...injections have not reduced the pain....nor has physical therapy after 3 rounds.... I am now trying acupuncture and the DMSO as my final alternative. Got the roll on and just used it. Sorry there were no instructions on the package other than to be cautious about skin burning. So far, little burn sensation and less pain.

I am using it for knee pain. I need a knee replacement but in the meantime the DMSO is keeping me off addictive pain drugs. I love it. Great for inflammation and after getting inflammation under control it is not necessary to use it often. It has been the best thing I have used or tried. I am also using it for cancer.

Have used DMSO over the years on many muscle and joint injuries, always with good results. Currently it is really helping with my spinal stenosis and arthritic lower back. I apply a 70% gel (with 30% aloe vera) twice a day along my lumbar region and along the sciatic nerves in the buttocks. This substantially reduces my pain and makes daily life possible. [Other good treatments are TENS machines and medicinal marijuana.] The only problem I have ever had with DMSO is skin irritation. Never use more than the 70% strength, and combining it with aloe vera is good. Using it too frequently on a daily basis, or using it on certain body parts (like the face) makes it more irritating. Hydrocortisone creme can help with the irritation, just apply it after the DMSO and dried and been absorbed (remember, it will carry into your body anything that comes in contact with it). Good luck and God bless.Read More Read Less
