I am taking bloodroot for skin cancer. It will definitely clean out your bowels and I have noticed the bloodroot capsules have been shrinking my skin tags quite a bit. It can make you very tired as your body is getting use to the herb. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to get healthy.

I am using a Bloodroot Salve to treat skin growths. I have applied it for 24 hours to two separate moles and one hard growth at the sight of a slow healing sore (a situation that is mimicking a growth I had professionally excised from a different location years ago). The first mole followed textbook Bloodroot descriptions of mild pain during the dying process, slight irritation of normal healthy tissue that had been exposed to the salve, an extremely nasty looking aesthetic for the effected area for the first few days, and an easy to manage eschar that eventually popped off from the site leaving a clean crater which healed up very nicely. The second mole treatment seems to have been less effective. There was no pain at the site during the 24 hour application suggesting that the dying process might not have happened. The area has the same nasty look that the first mole did but is lacking the symmetry of irritation that the first mole showed. The included instructions recommended that I reapply the salve as the lack of pain may be an indication that the mole was not killed. I did not do this since the site took the expected nasty aesthetic. The hard growth on my leg had a very aggressive response to the 24 hour application. The hard spot shared the same site as a poorly healing sore. The instructions gave no cautions about avoiding open sores or wounds and neither has any online source I have read. Pain was more than the first mole but similar to what you would expect from a modern excision after a local anesthetic has worn off. At 24 hours an area slightly smaller than a dime (double what I was expecting) is displaying the expected nasty look of death. At 36 hours, irritation, swelling, redness, and an elevated local temperature have followed. At 48 hours, the irritation, swelling, and temperature increase of healthy skin has spread significantly (about the size of my entire hand). At 72 hours there has been no change.
