I always use fresh organic ginger root and cinnamon and steep them in hot water to make a tea. You can use the base all day long refilling your mug. I use it to settle my gall bladder, which does not work well, and when I eat poorly and it seizes I use the tea to cleanse my digestive system. It usually gets me through the uncomfortable period relatively quickly.
