About the expert, Rachel Goldman, PhD

Rachel Goldman, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and speaker who takes a holistic approach to health. She specializes in the mind-body connection, including stress reduction, eating behaviors, the treatment of obesity (including pre-op and post-op bariatric surgery), and health behavior change.

Goldman is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine. She sees clients in her private practice in NYC where she uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to assist them in behavioral changes promoting healthier lives. She also provides consulting services to other professionals and corporations, including corporate wellness workshops/webinars and wellness programming.

She has been featured in The New York Times, TIME, NBC News, CNN, USA Today, and Women's Health. Goldman appears as an expert guest on Sirius XM Doctor Radio, where she discusses struggles with weight loss and disordered eating as well as positive health behaviors.
