Some simple tips can help you feel better and stay healthy while you're getting immunotherapy. Eat a rainbow of fruits and veggies. Aim for 2 and 1/2 cups of them a day and wash them well. Ask your doctor if there are any fruits or veggies you should cook just to play it safe.

Cut back on high fat foods. If you eat a lot of meat, try replacing it with beans, lentils, and mushrooms a few times a week. Eating healthy also gives you more energy to exercise.

Ask your doctor what activities are safe for you to do and go slow at first. Five to 10 minute daily walks are a great start. One big perk of exercise-- it helps you manage stress.

Other ways of putting your worries in their place include meditation, counseling, and cancer support groups. Cutting down on stress can help you sleep better, too. Seven to nine hours of shut eye a night are ideal for keeping your immune system strong.
