Treatment of stage 0 may include the following:

  • Surgery (wedge resection or segmental resection).
  • Photodynamic therapy using an endoscope.
  • Electrocautery, cryosurgery, or laser surgery using an endoscope.

  • A clinical trial of treatment given through an endoscope, such as photodynamic therapy (PDT).
