Lichen striatus on legs. Lichen striatus is a common rash that appears in children as flesh-colored, tan or pink flat topped bumps that usually form a line or band on the skin. Here, they are on a child's leg, but they can also appear on arms, the face, neck or body. The cause is not known but they sometimes appear after a viral infection, a vaccination or trauma. There is no real treatment, and the rash should resolve on its own, but it may take several weeks or months to go away.
