- management or monitoring precaution: General:Increased risk of adverse events (e.g., dehydration, fatigue, UTI) and death in elderly. Hematologic: Elderly are more likely to develop neutropenia and infection. Cardiovascular-Greater incidence of cardiac disorders in the elderly compared to younger patients.
Giving Haloperidol to a child under 12
- Severe Precaution: Safety and efficacy not established. Indicated for prostate cancer. Lack of efficacy in pediatric glioma studies.
