How the interaction occurs:
Your anticoagulant decreases your body's ability to form blood clots.
What might happen:
You have more bleeding following the abortion than if you took mifepristone alone. The amount of bleeding may be life-threatening.
What you should do about this interaction:
Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking an anticoagulant before you take mifepristone. If you have already taken mifepristone and are also taking an anticoagulant, contact your doctor right away.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
