Lupus has a variety of symptoms that may be easily confused with other conditions like diabetes or arthritis. Keeping track of what you’re feeling and rating how it’s affecting your life can help you discuss symptoms with your doctor. The most common lupus symptoms are:

  • Extreme fatigue
  • Pain or swelling in your joints
  • Swelling in your hands and feet
  • Headaches
  • Light sensitivity
  • Low-grade fevers
  • Chest pain when taking deep breaths

Following the Lupus Impact Tracker, you can effectively talk to your doctor about the effects of lupus on your life. The Impact Tracker will have you do four things to track how lupus is affecting you:

  1. Complete the tracker once every four weeks.
  2. Answer ten questions about your symptoms with a rating.
  3. Add the score up to see your Lupus Impact score.
  4. Share the results with your doctor at your appointments.
