DR. JEFFREY SIMS, DDS: Well, one of the big cosmetic procedures these days is veneers.

Veneers are thin shelves of porcelain that go over your natural teeth.

There's two ways that we fabricate veneers.

We can do it traditional ways, where we remove more tooth structure.

If the teeth are not too dark, then you can put a no-prep veneer over that.

But it depends on the alignment.

So there's different ways of putting them on.

You can prepare your teeth or just reshape them slightly.

Every patient's different.

Every alignment's different, and it depends on what you're trying to do.
