The 87-year-old former host of CNN’s long-running “Larry King Live” was diagnosed with COVID-19 in January. He later died from sepsis, an infection unrelated to the virus. "Well, he was finally ready to go, I will tell you that. You know, he never wanted to go, but his sweet little body was just -- it had just been hit so many times with so many things, and once we heard the word COVID, all of our hearts just sunk,” said his widow, Shawn King. "But he beat it, you know, he beat it, but it did take its toll and then the unrelated infection finally is what took him, but boy, he was not going to go down easily."

The talk show host and wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne shared her diagnosis in a Dec. 14 Twitter post. “After a brief hospitalization, I’m now recuperating at a location away from Ozzy (who has tested negative) while ‘The Talk’ is on scheduled hiatus,” Osbourne said.

The talk show host announced her COVID-19 diagnosis Dec. 10. “Fortunately, I’m feeling fine right now,” DeGeneres said in a Twitter post. “Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC guidelines.”

The actor revealed he contracted COVID-19 in February while promoting his new HBO show, The Undoing, on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. “My eyeballs felt about three sizes too big. And this feeling as though some enormous man was sitting on my chest,” Grant says. He also lost his sense of smell.

The 38-year-old British royal reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 in April but kept his diagnosis private. According to media reports, he “didn't want to worry anyone” with the news about his health. In March, his father, Prince Charles, had announced his own diagnosis and went into isolation.

The actor, 39, said he contracted the virus in Atlanta while shooting Starz’s new wrestling drama Heels. His symptoms included hot flashes, chills, dizziness, and loss of appetite. Amell says he lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks.

A preview of the upcoming season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians revealed the reality star had COVID-19 this year. "Just found out that I do have corona," she says in the clip. "I have been in my room. It's gonna be fine, but it was really bad for a couple days." Kardashian said her symptoms included vomiting, coughing, hot flashes, chills, and a serious headache. 

The head coach of the University of Alabama’s football team said he was surprised when his test results came back positive. “I personally think I did a really good job of trying to manage my personal space,” Saban, 68, said at a news conference. He said he’s told the team’s players to be careful “because you have to respect this disease and the spread of this disease.” He said he was feeling fine and had no symptoms. He planned to stay home and coach the team via video conferencing.

The 35-year-old soccer superstar tested positive for COVID-19 while preparing for a match in Portugal. He reportedly had no symptoms and returned to his home in Italy to begin isolation. The Juventus football club said one other teammate, Weston McKennie, also tested positive.

The top-ranked golfer got tested for the virus after he started showing symptoms. He withdrew from the CJ Cup at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas and went in isolation. "I have already had a few calls with the tour's medical team and appreciate all the support and guidance they have given me,'' Johnson said.

Two weeks later, she detailed the symptoms that began a few days after her diagnosis. “I experienced body aches, a cough and headaches, and felt extremely tired most of the time.” Trump also confirmed that the couple’s 14-year-old son, Barron, had tested positive, though he showed no symptoms.

The E! host tested positive for COVID-19, along with her husband and son. She found out while preparing to travel to Los Angeles to cover the Emmys. "As much as I didn't want to hear that, I'm very thankful I heard it before I traveled and possibly could have exposed other people. So for that I'm thankful," Rancic said in a video on Instagram. She urged her followers to follow safety guidelines to protect themselves and others from the virus.

The actor says he, his husband, and their two children contracted COVID-19 about 6 months ago. “It happened very early (in the pandemic), like late March, early April. We were doing our best before, and I thought I had the flu, and I didn't want to be paranoid about it. And then I lost my sense of taste and smell, which was a big indicator, so we holed up," Harris said in a Today show interview. The family is doing fine now. "It was not pleasant, but we got through it and have antibodies and are feeling good.” Harris starred in the sitcoms Doogie Howser, M.D. and How I Met Your Mother.

The fitness trainer best known for her Biggest Loser role says she got COVID-19 from a friend who didn’t know she had it. "I literally let my guard down for an hour with one of my best friends who does my hair and makeup and got it," Michaels said in a Fox Business interview. “If you’re not in a mask and that person is not in a mask, and they have COVID and have no idea … anticipate that you will likely get it in an environment like that.”

The actor reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 while working on the film The Batman, according to people familiar with the production. In a statement, Warner Bros. confirmed that someone working on the movie tested positive and that filming was on hold while the person isolated themselves and followed “established protocols.”

In an Instagram post, the actor said he’d tested positive for COVID-19, along with his wife and their two daughters. He said he thought they caught the virus from close friends. “I can tell you that this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we’ve ever had to endure as a family,” Johnson said.

The eight-time Olympic gold medalist tested positive for the virus, though he said he showed no symptoms. In a video posted to Twitter, Bolt said he was quarantining himself at home, trying to be responsible, “and just taking it easy.” The sprinter got a coronavirus test the day after friends threw him a surprise birthday party. Health officials in Jamaica said they were tracing his contacts.

The actor announced that he was spending his 60th birthday in quarantine after he tested positive for COVID-19. On Instagram, Banderas said he felt “relatively well, just a little more tired than usual,” but that he was confident he would recover soon.

But Milano, 47, said two coronavirus tests she took in the first weeks of her illness came back negative. After 4 months of symptoms like stomach problems, vertigo, and shortness of breath, she said she finally tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies

The 64-year-old actor said he got the virus even though he “was pretty strict about adhering to the protocols.” On Instagram, the Breaking Bad star shared a video of himself at a hospital where he’d gone to donate blood plasma. Once someone has recovered from COVID-19, their plasma, the liquid part of blood, is full of antibodies for the virus, which could help treat others with the disease. Cranston said he felt lucky to be alive and urged others to “keep wearing the damn mask, keep washing your hands, and stay socially distant.”

The business executive and 2012 presidential candidate died from COVID-19 complications on July 30, 2020. “You're never ready for the kind of news we are grappling with this morning. But we have no choice but to seek and find God's strength and comfort to deal,” a representative said in a statement posted to Cain’s Twitter account. Cain, 74, had been in the hospital for treatment after testing positive for the coronavirus on June 29.

The Oscar-winning actor and director tested positive for the coronavirus in April. Gibson, 64, was in a hospital in California for 1 week. His treatment included remdesivir, an antiviral drug that seems to help people with COVID-19 get better faster.

The actress from True Blood and Pitch Perfect announced on Instagram that she had COVID-19 and was sick for 3 weeks. “One time, when the world was starting to open up, I decided to forgo wearing my mask in public. One. Time. And I ended up getting it. I believe it may have been because of that one time.” Camp said she lost her sense of smell and taste, and was still feeling symptoms like dizziness and fever a month later.

The actor announced on May 11 that he and his wife, Brooke Adams, had COVID-19 in April. Shalhoub is known for his roles in shows like Monk and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. In The At-Home Variety Show web series, Shalhoub said it “was a pretty rough few weeks, but we realize so many other people have and had it a lot worse.”

The Good Morning America anchor shared he’d tested positive a few weeks after his wife, actress and author Ali Wentworth. Stephanopoulos says he had no symptoms and feels fine. “I’ve never had a fever, never had a cough, never had shortness of breath, never had chills -- any of the classic symptoms you’ve been reading about.”

The Las Vegas magician died May 8 from COVID-19 complications. The 75-year-old was half of the duo Siegfried and Roy, known for their stunts with white tigers and lions. 

The veteran broadcast journalist and 60 Minutes correspondent announced on May 3 that she’d recovered from the virus. Stahl went to the hospital after 2 weeks in bed with pneumonia. The doctors and nurses who took care of her were “sympathetic, gentle and caring from the moment I arrived until the moment days later when I was wheeled out through a gauntlet of cheering medical workers,” she says.

The Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and producer said on Instagram that she and her 3-year-old son had recovered from COVID-19 after testing positive for the coronavirus 2 weeks earlier. At the same time, she said she’d donate a total of $1 million to two coronavirus relief funds. “THANK YOU to all of our healthcare professionals and everyone in the world who are working so hard to protect our loved ones. You are our heroes!” she said.

The 49-year-old CNN anchor announced he’d tested positive for the coronavirus after he’d had some symptoms of COVID-19 -- fever, chills, and shortness of breath. “I am quarantined in my basement,” Cuomo said on Twitter. “I will do my shows from here. We will all beat this by being smart and tough and united.”

The 51-year-old actor, best known for his roles on Lost and Hawaii 5-0, said on Instagram that he noticed symptoms on a flight home from New York, where he’d been filming a TV show in which he plays a doctor fighting a pandemic. He got tested after his symptoms got worse. Kim said he never went to the hospital. “With the help of the medication, and bed rest, liquids, and, of course, my loving family, I didn’t need to.”

The two-time Oscar-winning actor tested positive for coronavirus while in Australia to work on a film. On Instagram, he said he and his wife, Rita Wilson, both 63, had fevers and felt “a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches.” After a week in self-isolation, he said they were doing what they could to feel better. “There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no?”

“So grateful for the outpouring of prayers, love and support. Means so much and strengthens us,” actress and singer Rita Wilson said in an Instagram post. Her husband, Tom Hanks, said both of them had fevers and felt tired and achy, and that Wilson had some “chills that came and went.”

The 71-year-old heir to the British throne had mild COVID-19 symptoms, but “otherwise remains in good health,” a spokesman said. His wife, Camilla, was also tested for the virus, but her results were negative. The couple are self-isolating at home in Scotland, the spokesman said, adding that it wasn’t clear how the prince caught the virus, “owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks.”

The prime minster of the U.K. got a positive coronavirus test result after he’d had a mild fever and cough that wouldn’t go away. “I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus,” Johnson said on Twitter. Ten days after he announced his diagnosis, Johnson went to the hospital when his symptoms didn’t get better.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter had a “sudden onset of COVID-19 symptoms” and went to the hospital, his family said in a statement on Twitter.  After almost 2 weeks there, Prine died of complications from the disease.  

The actress said on Instagram that she, her husband, and two teen daughters had “an odd bug” -- low fevers, headaches, dry coughs, and body aches -- that cleared up quickly. A few weeks later, Mazar, 55, got a positive coronavirus test after she had severe body aches and a fever. She called the disease “morphy,” because she feels good one day and not so good the next. But she’s “been through the worst of it already” and is getting better.

The rapper confirmed his diagnosis in a video live stream with fellow Geto Boys member Willie D. Jordan. He said he had an itchy throat, which led to vomiting. He also had a hard time breathing. “It was like an elephant sitting on my chest,” he said.

The talk show host announced he’d tested positive on Instagram. Cohen, 51, tried to tape his show, Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, from home but decided to put that on hold to focus on getting better. “I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves,” he said.

The Utah Jazz center was the first NBA player to be diagnosed with COVID-19. His diagnosis sparked the NBA’s decision to suspend its season for 30 days. “Just to give you guys an update, loss of smell and taste is definitely one of the symptoms, haven’t been able to smell anything for the last 4 days,” Gobert said on Twitter.

The Brooklyn Nets’ small forward tested positive for COVID-19, along with three of his teammates. Only one of the four has shown symptoms, but it’s not clear if it was Durant. “Everyone be careful, take care of yourself, and quarantine,” he told The Athletic.

The actor, who starred in the British crime drama Luther, confirmed his diagnosis via Twitter. He’s shown no symptoms but remains isolated. Elba, 47, encouraged people to “be pragmatic” and practice social distancing. His wife, Sabrina Dhowre, tested positive soon after.

The U.S. senator from Kentucky tested positive for the new coronavirus and quarantined himself. Paul was the first senator diagnosed. “He is asymptomatic and was tested out of an abundance of caution due to his extensive travel and events. He was not aware of any direct contact with any infected person,” according to a statement on his Twitter account. 

Recently sentenced to 23 years in prison for sexual assault, the former movie mogul has also tested positive for COVID-19. Weinstein is in isolation at the Wende Correctional Facility east of Niagara Falls, NY.
